South West FL,
I've read a lot of posts about taste issues or juices not tasting like they used to but it hadn't happened to me until today. No matter what flavor I try, on whatever device (cartos/atties/tanks etc.) I cant taste anything, once in awhile I get a smidgen of flavor but nothing like normal.

Is this a resolvable issue? What are some remedies to get your tb's back in gear? At first I thought it was my atty, switched to a fresh one, switched juices, tanks everything still no luck?

What causes this and how can it be avoided?

P.S. everything tastes like chalk...

Yes, it happens to all us vapers. Usually when taste buds "re-grow" then it takes some time for it to come back. For me, it took a few weeks.

What did the trick for me was to vape nothing but menthol. Which helped a lot and really didn't mind since I was originally a menthol smoker when I was on cigs. Some like cinnamon as well but I personally couldn't vape that due to my reaction to it.

Anyways, it can't be avoided. You just have to live through it. Also happens when you vape to much of one liquid. Which is why I usually switch flavors pretty often or every few puffs. Since I rotate either between 2 pv's when I'm out or 6 when I'm at home.

I do the exact same thing with carrying 2pvs out with me loaded with diff.juice and while at home have at least 4pvs loaded and I keep swapping out flavors so that way I wont get burnt out on flavors I really love.

Do you mean "re-grow" after quiting analogs? Since I started vaping (4 weeks) my tastes relating to vapors has swung wildly, except that I continue to dislike the Truepure that I got. I MOSTLY like the RY; Fruit flavors are sometimes yummy, sometimes acrid; same with some BASIC cuppucino. The one that I consistently can turn to to refresh is Harry's Blend #2- a light menthol mix made by a local vendor:MOVE2VAPOR

I went through the loss of taste experience last week- and it distressed me to no end. Thankfully there are veteran vapers here and it really calmed me down to know that it wasn't just me. I was vaping a new juice I got and loved it. Vaped it all day. The following day, my taste buds were fried- although the interesting thing was that I could taste food and drink, just not the vape.

I took up every bit of advice-- keep sipping water or some liquid whilst vaping. I bought Biotene to soothe my tongue and mouth because I wasn't drinking enough and had a bad case of cotton-mouth. I have also started to change flavours all the time. I have about five or six cartos with different juices in them and rotate the them constantly. I have been keeping track of the cartos with different coloured drip tips and they just sit in a shot glass I keep near me.

At least now I know that taste loss is normal- and I feel lucky in that my sense of taste returned after a couple of days and it's been fine ever since. I'm sure it will happen again in the future, but at least I'll know that it's normal and I'm not the only one, LOL.

Having the same taste problem. Haven't had an analog in over 15 months, but I vape non stop. Figured my taste buds would be used to the vapor by now. But, over the past two days I've noticed a gradual decrease in taste. Now I'm at the point where I can't really taste my vapor at all. What really sucks is I just ordered a ton of flavorings as I was planning on trying my hand at DIY. Well, at least I'll have 610ml of unflavored juice to last me awhile. I think I read somewhere on here that vaping unflavored would help speed up the taste bud repair. Someone correct me if I'm mistaken.

yea i think the real solution is to give ur tatse buds a break (as much as you can at least) because what ive noticed its more of a burning them issue, thats why you cant taste cuz we kill em, same as smoking, so lower your volts or whatever go to a lower one that doesnt create such hot vapor, i use a darwin, so i started using cartos and turned the watts down and that helped
