First of all, congratulations on coming back.
Second - you used the same vivi nova for four months? No wonder you went back to cigarettes.
If you're happy with your ego twist, first thing I would do is get another for backup. No battery lasts forever. In fact, I'd get a couple of backups. (Actually, *I'd* get a dozen backups but that's just me.
)
I personally like the mini vivi novas. (I like the full size vivi novas too but they look silly on an ego battery.) They are a 'top coil' clearomizer which simply means the 'head' (which contains the wire coil and wick) is near the top and long wicks trail down and wick the juice up to the coil.
Another 'top coil' is the CE4 / CE4S,CE5 / CE4+,CE6.
Many people like evods. They are a 'bottom coil' which obviously means that the 'head' (coil and wick) are at the bottom. The wick is also very short since it doesn't have to wick the juice up.
Mini protanks are also bottom coil.
I use top coils, both vivi novas and CE6s, mainly because 1) I'm happy with them and 2) every time I've tried a bottom coil, I end up unscrewing it from the wrong end and dumping juice all over myself.
But that's me, many people prefer bottom coils.
In terms of cleaning - or replacing the head - or rebuilding the head - I suggest heading to youtube and watching a few videos. It's not difficult and you can save a lot of money.
You'll hear a lot of opinions over which is 'better' (that's not even getting into cartotanks, dripping, etc.) but at this point, since you know you're satisfied with vivi novas, I would go to any of the recommended vendors here on ecf and order several vivi novas along with some packages of heads. Watch some videos on how to clean the heads, which extends their life. As they (the heads) become unusable, replace with new heads (but save the old ones).
(At some point, you may wish to get into rebuilding the heads (which can be done cheaply) or you can always give them away to people like me.
You can buy pre-wrapped coils/wicks at specified ohms - I bought a bunch from fasttech (50 for six dollars something, roughly twelve cents each) which worked well. Or you might get into wrapping the coils/wicks yourself (which can literally be done for a penny or two).)
Best of luck.
