I am trying to quit analogs, AGAIN, and was wondering what I should get, been looking at the EgoT and the Provari. My last ecig purchases were a regular ego and some tank atties. I had also purchased a $30 SD knockoff that lasted about a month and the connections inside broke, I tried to solder them and killed the thing.

A little history, I started vaping in 2009 roughly and was smoke free for a little over a year when I fell off the wagon and started on analogs. I started with one of thse smoke anywhere cigs(that I paid way too much for) and then discovered this forum. I have tried since then the 801,901,510(various),mini pipe, SD knockoff, Puresmoker(cant remember name) and various box mods and home made ones that never worked right.

I was perfectly fine vaping but ran our of atomizers and was low on nic juice and unfortunately cigarettes are easy to get. I am ready to come back and know that I will be successful, I just need to stock up on the "right" equipment. I think I still have two ego batts that should take a charge so am leaning in that direction.

vaping behavior: I usually vape starting right when I wake up and am gone most of the day. My job requires me to drive around alot so I tend to vape on the go all day and would probably take at least one or two back up batteries and juice.

I also spend alot of time at the computer typing reports and whatnot and a good passthru would also be good.

I would like maybe one or two devices that coul help keep me off the cancer sticks. Any and all recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Oh and good enic juice vendors or recommendations would be good too.

Thank you!:)

I'm right behind you
There is a whole lotta fluff inbetween the ego-t and the provari. Personally, I wish I went straight to the provari when I started, I would have saved alot of green. As it stands I have many mods and will be getting a provari shortly. The ego-t has many, many leaking complaints, but you just can't find anyone complaining about the Provari. Of course there are alot of mid based units that perform quite well, it's really a question of how thick your wallet is.

Since your out and about a lot. I would recommend a REO Grand. You'll be able to utilize 6ml of juice while having an AW IMR 18650 1600mah battery that will easily last you the whole day. I would recommend getting a Cisco LR 306 too:

Atomizers - Avid Vaper

If you need anymore information there's here's a thread with the appropriate links:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/reo-all-models/253857-you-researching-reo-mods.html

This this will suit your needs and since your already used to box mods. Might be a fit for you and plus, it's made out of aircraft aluminum. Makes it almost indestructible as well.

I totally agree with washvap. Just can't go wrong with a reo. I have the mini and I vape about 3ml a day. I change out the 14500 battery about twice a day but with the grand you wouldn't have to do that. It's a no fuss, no muss vaping pleasure. I also used the ego for about a year and the mini reo was a present to myself. My only regret was that I didn't get one much sooner. No leaking, no wires no problems at all. Love, love, love my mini!

I'm going to play devils advocate here for a moment, so hopefully my diatribe doesn't bore you too much.

Based on your post, you have been through quite a few of the mini-style e-cigs. Those are great for what they are, but their short comings are far too many to make it worth while to list. If you were filling your own cartos/cartridges, then you're already familiar with the part that throws off a lot of people when they switch.

In all fairness, pre-filled are convenient, but not worth the extra expense. I spend about 3 minutes a day filling cartos, and maybe 20 minutes a week mixing liquids, and the cost is dirt cheap. I think I'm spending something like 0.30$usd/ml.

Now then, are you looking for a major investment that will last you forever and you'll never have to buy another? Something that's coveted by almost everyone on this forum as being top of the shelf, like a 50 year scotch? (Omg 50 year scotch...) Don't kid yourself though, the ProVari is just a fancy battery holder with a high price tag. The price on their site doesn't include batteries, charger, atty/carto/tank, or anything basically. I looked into it once and to get a ProVari that would work with my cartos, including batteries and such, was going to be like 300 dollars. That's new, of course, I wouldn't buy a used ProVari, myself. I'm not sure about the warranty on this, maybe someone will step in, but I'm guessing that most of it is under a long warranty...which means that if something breaks, you get to mail it in to get repaired. 2-3 days shipping each way, plus however long it takes them to fix it. That seems like another reason to jump back onto the stinkies to me.

Or do you want something that's easy on the wallet, comes all inclusive for an affordable price? Something that's got simplicity all over it, yet you may take a slight risk with 'faulty' equipment? My first non-gas station e-cig was an eGo-T, I purchased it from AltSmoke and one of my attys arrived DOA. There was some glue in the airway, I opened a ticket and they shipped me out another atty within a day. I further purchased an eGo-T kit for my father in-law back in July, which he is still using, we had the same issue, one of his atties wouldn't hold the liquid...same resolution, fresh one was in the mail the next day.

You're going to encounter a lot of tank-system haters, because, frankly, they're not perfect. When you buy a kit though, you get 2 batteries, 2 attys, and a buncha tanks. If 1 piece is broken, then you've still got the rest of it to work with in the interm. I think that the main goal is to find someone that will make things right if there's an issue, and work with them.

When I was using my eGo-T, I bought a portable hard-drive case to carry around spares of everything. I used to travel with 5-10 filled tanks, a spare atty or two, and extra batteries. It was all redundant because one tank would last me from the time I left home, until the time I got home from work, but better safe... The tanks are pretty easy to fill, and they come with a little cover that covers the bottom to prevent leaking when not in-use. They're also transparent, so you always know how much liquid is inside...very little risk of dry-burning the wick.

Anyhow, I believe I've said enough.
Best of luck with your decision.

I bought cartos to go on my ego batteries and a couple attys for it to try juice with. I found that the egoT didn't satisfy me at all and the taste was pretty nonexistant. So I bought a silver bullet and a provari. I put tanks with punched cartos on them and now I'm happy and LOADS of flavor. I still keep the ego batteries with a couple of attys to try new juice but I don't use them on a regular basis. Also I never bought a passthrough because I have plenty of battery time on my 2 devices. I also don't stare at the computer the whole time and I like to take mine with me when I go get a drink or whatever. Anyways it's all up to what you like and can afford. Cost is always a big deal when it comes to getting started.

Im going to check all of these devices out. I recognize most of them, but some are new. It is a little overwhelming with all the choices and cartridges and ohms and watts, doubole coils, tanks, etc etc. will take a some time to research the new stuff. I might just buy an egoT starter kit and then decide on a mod, or VV and save some dough to get a nice one. They seem to range from $90 to $300 for the good ones.

+1 - Another vote for the REO - about as hassle-free as it gets.

+1 - And yet another vote for REO. Both the Mini and Grand are about as hassle-free as vaping gets. I'd dare say it's very nearly as simple as smoking analogs.

Whatever you choose (even if it's not a REO), good luck!
