Welcome back to vaping and ECF!

There have been tons of activity around here in the past couple of years -- and a lot of pretty fine PV's and Mods.

IMO it would be a good idea to pick up a ego kit as your batteries just might not be up to par by now. You could get ego batteries that can also be used like a pass through. "510" has become pretty much the standard so you can't go wrong buying 510. However, there are also adapters now, so you could get whatever atty # you liked before. It's a good re-start.

The biggest advances I've seen in the past year are the continuing popularity of bottom feeding devices, large fan base for variable volt mods (or variable watts) and more recently, tanks. These tanks are not the ego tank but a system which uses a cartomizer feed system.

I bought a Darwin (variable watts) to find out what all the VV/VW "fuss" was about and to help me work out my "sweet spot" set up. My advice would be to pick up a VV (or VW) so you can experiment.

There are several great Mods available and even more opinions. Have fun shopping----and don't buy everything this week. Next week there will be another tempting gem...

Thank you all for the great ideas and suggestions. I just placed an order for an egoT starter kit from Puresmoker. I have two ego batteries and a charger I will be able to use with it. I am still researching the various mods and VV vaporizers and will prob purchase one in the very near future. Alot to catch up on, didnt realize how many new PVs and accessories there would be.:vapor:

Welcome back and good luck!

...have to add yet another +1 for hassle free vaping on a REO.

The Reo isn't really a 'trying to find a quick and easy way to get back into vaping'. It may seems like it to a lot of people who have been vaping for a while, but it's a mod. Mods are the 2nd step. The starter kits are all about the transition from analogs to vapalogs, and making that as smooth as possible. Mods are for the people who transitioned and are looking for more shiny toys to play with.

I would think learning to squonk a little bottle from time to time would be easier to learn than all the various carto fill methods, always getting a burnt taste because it's not full enough, or juice in your mouth because it's too full and clogged cartos because it's been over-filled too many times.

As to tube mods: An eGo is a battery with a button, and so is a mod. However, it's costs $20.00 to replace an eGo and replacing a mod battery is about $6.00. As far as how they function: you put a filled cartomizer on it and push the button. Also, a good mod is much higher quality than a standard eGo; not knocking eGo's, I still use mine when I want something smaller.

I don't think jumping into a mod is going to be a problem unless you get into VV and high voltage, because then you need to know ohms and batteries better so you don't fry things.

Just my $.02.

Woah, not really sure why you're getting defensive. The term mod isn't very well defined, I suggest that a mod is a battery holder, not a battery itself. The eGo is a battery, stick it on a charger, no fuss, no muss. Same with the minis, and auto battery/manual battery is all the same.

When I say "mod" I mean... 'fancy battery holder that actually uses removable batteries' and that doesn't include the eGo. Yes, it's a fat battery, but it's a single-piece battery unit.

Now, I suggest the eGo-T, because you don't have to remember to squeeze a little bottle, you just have to glance at the transparent tip that you're sucking on and see if there's liquid still in it. You don't have to worry about the attys getting clogged up if you rinse them out between flavors or every few days. You don't have to worry about getting juice in your mouth unless you're laying on your back vaping...that's a silly idea anyhow, only done it once myself.

I don't disagree with the battery replacement cost, the eGo batteries are a bit spendy to replace, but it's designed as a long-term disposable unit. I got my father in-law an eGo-T kit back in July, he's got one battery that the switch is getting a bit wonky, and one that's not holding a full charge. Still working though, and he uses it all the time.

I always try to encourage people to start at the bottom. Learn what you've got with something cheapish, and then expand from there. Who knows, he may not want to be a hobbyist like many of us, he may be happy as Larry with an eGo-T. Hell, he may have been happy with the mini-pen-style ecigs if he hadn't run out of liquid.

The the op i started with an ego and it was good but not enough so i got a provari. Even with the rage for tanks and carto's dual triple coil ect. There is something to be said with the ease of dripping and the provari is a pretty easy device to use and works great for most people.
