What a wonderful man he must have been that you feel the loss this powerfully after 24 hours. Big big hugs to you Ripple, may you be comforted by the love your son has for you, that you are surely as great a man to him as your father was to you :)

Yep, sweetz, he was great and a beloved guy in the community - -well, except for my mother

-- and it was a shock somewhat, though the polio (post-polio musculare atrophy, another thing kids these days know little to nothing of) and the 3 packs of vantages a day probably had something to do with it, too.

I couldn't find the Schiller's Reel (from an SNL early season thanksgiving show) on this, I remember watching it on the floor with my dad and both of us weeping (my dad said real men show emotion, its the cowards who run from it) as we watched the reuniting families and our realization that would be us soon enough........you never know how cool a parent is...........this is the longest day of the year for me......anyway, its all water under the bridge I guess but the flotsam is still stuck.:)

I have always found comfort with this poem, I hope you like it as well, especially those who mourn the male guide you have lost.........:thumb:

I Had A Father That Talked with Me by Hilda Bigelow

I had a father who talked with me-
Allowed me the right to disagree,
To question- and always answered me,
As well as he could- and truthfully.
He talked of adventures; horrors of war;
Of life, its meaning; what love was for;
How each would always need to strive
To improve the world to keep it alive.
Stressed the duty we owe one another
To be aware each man is a brother.
Words for laughter he also spoke
A silly song or a happy joke.
Time runs along, some say I'm wise
That I look at life with seeing eyes.
My heart is happy, my mind is free,
I had a father who talked with me.

Sigh........sometimes the time spent looking for the bright side seems like a never-ending darkness before the dawn, but we all now that is by choice also, I'll be happy tomorrow, promise!!!:thumb:

I saw sallana's post today......you're awesome, too, babe, haven't said it in a while......:thumb:

Jeez, I had like a 1 in 25 chance at the Super-T and still lost that -- the streak remains unstained by a cruel victory!!!:laugh:

Of course, I did win some more juice in a football contest, sigh, I only like my DIY........more to PIF!:)

Tell me about it... I should have saved my previous order numbers and put them all in for the 18650 :facepalm: I don't know why in the hell I bothered with the other ones anyways because I would have had to buy more batteries. Man, I really wanted one of those "first made" ones :cry:
