Serious waves in my little pond -- the wife's oldest sister was airlifted to Milwaukee last night with a bleeder in her brain, she is having emergency neurosurgery today to deal with an enormous aneurysm, things are screwy right now, this is a new situation for me to deal with, not my strong suit.....

Hang in there Ripple, I'm sure they're doing everything they can for her.

Trav- they make some that have another tube that sits with the exhaust hose misting the water extracted outside - no container to empty. I've also seen that they aren't as efficient as window units. None are energy star compliant.

I've seen them yeah, sounds more promising indeed. But I could swear (could be wrong) that even some of those have a catch container for "backup". And I seem to recall some complaining that more was going into the container than out the window. Also stuff about the outlet hose can't be at too steep an angle from the unit etc etc.

I'm easily talked out of major purchases. Especially when it it involves switching from a design I know works well (window units). Often in my search for convenience I'd find gimmicky things that end up in the long run actually being more hassle. So I tend to be leary of promises that sound too good. I'm sure in some cases, I may be missing out.

I don't think it would be for any of us Ripple...you have alot of support here and I for one appreciate you sharing your thoughts and feelings about it...vulnerability has never been my strong suit...Hang in there and I wish you and yours the best..and hope things go Amazingly for her surgery. I may be busier than a one-legged man in an @__ kickin contest..but I am here and will make time if you need to talk..or rant or vent or whatever.

Actually so far so good, wasn't sure last nite, but you know how it goes when the room is already warm....Directions said it would shut off when tank was full, hasn't happened yet. It's in the living room, didn't leave it running last nite, yeah I'm a chicken like that...lol Started it first thing this am and seems to be keeping things fairly nice. I'm going to shut it down here soon and see how much is in the tank, will keep you posted!

Turns out it's legal to have a weapon of mass conception at the airport.

Jonah Falcon was stopped and frisked by the TSA at the San Francisco International Airport on July 9 because of a bulging package hidden in his pants. But the 41-year-old New Yorker wasn't packing a dirty bomb, drugs or a Costco-sized tube of toothpaste. The New Yorker has the world's largest recorded penis.

In an exclusive interview with The Huffington Post, Falcon described his hard times with security guards after his extra carry-on became suspect.

"I had my 'stuff' strapped to the left. I wasn't erect at the time," said Falcon, whose penis is 9 inches flaccid, 13.5 inches erect. "One of the guards asked if my pockets were empty and I said, 'Yes.'"

Falcon said he knew that his interview was about to get a lot more personal when he was led through one of the X-ray body scanners and passed a metal detector.

"Another guard stopped me and asked me if I had some sort of growth," Falcon said, laughing.

Indeed he did have a growth.

By the age of 18, Falcon knew he had something special when his manhood reached a whopping 12 inches. His family jewel was hailed as the world's largest on record after an HBO documentary featured him in 1999. The Guinness Book of World Records does not record such feats, but Falcon did show his standout feature to Huffington Post executive editor Buck Wolf.

I had a friend in college who we called Beer Can.....it took a special girl is all I really can say on here, there were difficulties occasionally......

Just got the word, out of surgery and the prognosis is good, she's only in her mid-50s and in excellent health and shape and I guess that was of great benefit to her. She'll be out of the hospital in 7-14 days, it looks like all of your prayers helped.......






This is post #10,000 for me, what a long, strange trip its been here for me at ECF but I am still without gretzkys for over 2 years thanks to many friends and cool vendors.....I am happy right now, I thought about where to post this but where else is there than amongst my true friends?!?!?!
