Yep... the 'law of averages' has to catch up with you eventually... LOL!!

(I lose WAY more than I ever win, it just LOOKS like I win all the time... :D )

Does it? DOES IT??? DOES IT?!?!?!? I am living proof that that is not true!!! LMAO!!!!!!

Unless you count juice ones and a couple kits I won -- but its not the same nor what I was usually entering for -- but SK knows of more contests than I do, too, she's not a whiner like me and gets invited more -- and that's a good thing!!!:thumb:

LOL I'm staying out of this law of averages thing, I'm sure my beginner's luck will run out and I won't win another thing all year!!! :D

I was going to like your statement but I didn't want to jinx you!!!:thumb:

I was a math wiz growing up -- a skill that matters little today with computers and calculators -- and my forte was probability and statistics, I have beat all the odds to lose again and again somehow and it is an anomaly I cannot explain (and I have worked on the equations, dumbfounded) , it is amazing how random number generators avoid my entries!!!

And I think I'm too out there with my stories and comments for the norms......:thumbs:

Nah, the statistics always add up in the end. There's just probably a higher weight in your equations given to contests with mods, as they are more important to you. So if losing one of them is equal to losing ten others involving only juices etc, that makes your base much larger, and thus you have to have a larger sample size to win one of the bigger contests ;) (now if that ain't flawed logic, I dunno what is!!!)

Rip, you keep shooting your probability in the foot with those little juice wins. Mathematically speaking each entry counts the same whether its for juice or a GG. Granted the losses on the juices help your overall chance but it's a sticky game.

For all you non-math geeks here are the stats:
Entering 500 contests at 1000 entries each gives you a 39.4% chance of winning ONE of them. It takes 2000 contests to get up to an 86.5% chance.

I'm such a nerd...:matrix:
