Its like entering those FB contests, you end up competing with 3 to 4 times amount of people you thought you were, it makes any time spent wasted IMO for the rate of return of making an entry vs. possible chance of winning......just an opinion!!!;laugh:
Agreed! I still enter if the prize is good enough though. My new contest rule is it has to be worth at least $50. Not wasting my odds on anything less.

Well I will have u for 3 hours at least! :p That's not that bad....although, if u really leave that early, u will miss the raffle giveaway :( You may even be leaving too early to even buy the tickets...usually sold before the raffle drawing between 5 and 6....

If u trust me or someone else at the meeting enough u can leave the tickets u buy with them so they can claim ur prize/prizes and send them to u later....

Or maybe with ur luck.....u would be better just begging out

Up to u but raffle or not we r still gonna have fun!!!

Hey, babe, I just read your post in the ecigexpress contest -- I'm highly allergic also, cats are the worst for me, I can last maybe 3 hours before I am a phlegmy, bloodshot mess so I understand. However, I know some still want the bird-killers, I'll ask my sis the vet tech what she recommends and if she knows of any rescue facilitles for hypo-allergenic :)confused::laugh:) cats around us......:thumb:

I'm allergic to cats too - I swear, they can rub against my leg and my eyes swell up! But, persian cats are a totally different story...they don't have the dander that normal cats have, cause their hair is more like human hair.

I have a persian cat in my house now, and the only time he bothers me is either when he scratches me or if I actually get a hair up my nose LOL.

You might try it, you'd be amazed that you'll get to pet a persian cat with no allergic response!

I'll look into it!

I haven't heard of persians being hypoallergenic but this could be a matter of you being allergic to not all breeds...

I have heard of siberian cats, which are long-haired, as being hypoallergenic, however.

I have been doing research lol

Siberian, javanese, balinese, burmese, sphynx lol

My sister got back to me already...........

1. The only hypo-allergenic cat is a hairless.
2. The hair will get all over the house and is covered with their saliva, that's what most people are allergic to.
3. Some people are less allergic to some breeds but that's a rapshoot to figure out which one.
4. She's never seen a hairless at a shelter for long.
5. She recommends a guinea pig instead since that is more contained in an area.

Hope that helps, not super-good news for you...:(

I have heard people say that, but I have also read a lot saying that certain breeds cause less allergic symptoms than others. Since I am not severely allergic, I am thinking I may get away with a breed like a siberian, javanese, balinese, cornish rex, etc - where they either shed less, don't have an undercoat, or just genetically have less allergens. But yes I understand for completely allergen free hairless would be best.

I thought about a guinea pig, but I had one when I was younger and they squeal and play on their wheel all night long, they are loud lol

Also may consider a rabbit....never had one...

She also suggested a rabbit -- which is a dual purpose pet as, after expiration, they are tasty also!!!
