Hi guys, I'm starting this thread with the objective of:

Highlighting all common mistakes made by vapers alike that are often made (welcoming humor as well) so our newbies can read all about and avoid the same mistakes again. All mistakes in one thread for easy reading.

Give us your stories!

Most common mistake is to vape in public at . Should Not even vape in smoking corners. Eyes are all around, especially hishams eyes. Best not to let the public see it.

Another is the creating a thread that reveals shops. If you want to ask about shops, make friends and pvt message them. But it depends whether they want to tell or not.

Agreed with @Feeq. Makes this whole forum so dull. How else would you expect the active ones to keep coming back contribute better to this forum.

Separate note, usually I've seen questions asked more on wicking and such. Wickingis usually gotta be done properly. If done right, this should solve most of the dry hit and leak issues especially.

Check out the youtube video on Scottish Wicking :

i guess the most common mistake that im also guilty of as a newbie, is not doing enough research on-line before shooting questions in the forum. while i do understand that certain info may not be readily available, but now, a google / youtube search would give much info on vaping.

1. Using wrong type of batteries. Not all 18650 are the same.

The max continous amp discharge is more important than the capacity of the battery.

2. Not understanding the reason to sub-ohm.

The original reason for sub-ohm is because mechanical mods did not allow adjust the voltage. Thus, to get more heat or power, u need to lower the ohm value.

With regulated mod, u can get the same heat just need to increase the power.

3. Didnt explore this calculator:
Coil wrapping | Steam Engine | free vaping calculators !!

For me this calculator is god sent for coil builders.

4. Do remember to chk ohm reading again AFTER caping or assembly. Just in case the coil touches the side of the wall and causing a short.

5. Did not double off the mod (eg. 5 clicks lock followed power off) before throwing it into the bag. I kanna accidental firing because I did not do the 5 clicks lock before powering off.

Look behind you.
1) Questions with regards to sources (do not treat the forum like shopping centre Customer Service Counter)

2) Not reading stickies (take a minute to think why they're up there..rules and regulations man..read it, understand it, then you'll know what you're in for)

3) Cocky attitude (respect man, respect..respect given is respect earned)

4) Starting multiple threads without proper research (people here are helpful..but start spamming the threads, we can be a handful. Or would you prefer the admins to say hi..up to you..)

5) Starting threads just to get a response (we get it. You're lonely. You want company. There's always other seedy forums for that..)

6) Abuse of PM function (you want to sian yandao/chiobu, you've gotta make friends and build trust first right? Not anyhow stalk, make a nuisance of youself, or force them to like you right..same thing lah kawan..)

7) (credit to Karstine) The forum search bar, Youtube, and Google are your best friends.

Thanks for starting this thread. Now I let you guys know my thoughts. I noticed you guys have been very active and in alot of ways, helped to protect and made the forum active. This is appreciative on our part. Yes there are still increased threads and posts on sensitive topics regardless whether the person read the stickies or not. And a number of you have been quite helpful in reminding the proper way. Kudos to you all.

Now the negative part. Whenever a post or a thread on a sensitive topic pops up, I realised you guys dive in to troll, post an 'in before lock' comment or even post real locations in reply to the thread/post.

Please refrain from making all these mistakes. We are supposed to guide and help the newbies in a proper way. Even if they do not read stickies, we just have to point them there.
