I was over on my stockmarket board, and saw a post for a particular stock that stuck out like a sore thumb "smokefree innotec" (SFIO on the Pink Sheets/OTC Board). I was shocked upon opening it that they were claiming to be introducing the worlds first smoke free cigarette in June. So I looked at their website, saw the contraption was the same as the e-cig.

Welcome to the Future - Smokefree Innotech Inc.

Now I don't know much about penny stock scams and have been just an amateur long term investor for years. But to me this looks like someone set up a get quick rich scheme & are bilking investors. If you look at their stock on the otc board (look up SFIO on Otcbb.com Information Center - it won't allow direct link) you'll see a progression of PR news all in a matter of months. I believe this company was formed in possibly March & is already looking at distribution & set up a north american marketing group in a matter of 2 mos.

Am I missing something about the product or where it's being sold (originally was going to be marketed in Belgium & Germany I think)?? It's really irking me! I wouldn't be surprised if their product is some pre-existing generic model. I would however be totally surprised that investors bought into this without realizing this product has already been out on the market for quite a while!

I delved a little more into their product link & it seems it is microchip technology instead of an atomizer. Ok, so I guess that makes it different. But still, not the first electronic cigarette. They should make that clear. Still there's a suspicious part of me that makes me think this isn't legit either.

Also, unsuspecting stock holders have no idea this product will still have the same problems in the US with the FDA.

It claims to use a "tobacco solution with aroma"

All of their PR states:

Please visit our website Welcome to the Future - Smokefree Innotech Inc. for more information about the Company and our new product.

So it's delivering nicotine, but yet they state in one place it's tobacco free, and another that it's a tobacco solution.

Hi MOnkeylurv,
This has been discussed before - do a Forum search on the word rauchless.

An example post from Lacey Underall

I just read their financial report and it says:

5. The effect of existing or probable governmental regulations on the
business;

There are no existing or probable governmental regulations on our business activities, since the device falls in the category of a neutricuetical, with the amount of nicotine delivered comparable to that found in standard daily dosages over the counter medications such as flush free niacin.

What a joke. So it sounds like it has negligable amt's of nicotine. The placebo e-cig.

That's most probably a fall out or clone of a money-making fraud scheme. Some years ago a company had been created in continental Europe. That company was only about collecting venture capital. It produced some design models, but only to attract investors willing to engage in an ecigarette adventure. That company never went into production, probably never intended to, investors lost lot of money. Just be aware and best ignore.

2 dutchmen of which one moved to the US somewhere beginning of the 90's; one belge; one chinese gentleman with the swedish nationality. Those formed Innotec, quite a few years ago allready, and started working on this cig. It could well have been the first cig thén... however they have been just developing it, not marketing it, and as we know 'our' e-cig came out to the market since. Innotec company got an american in who came from a past of working on chewing tobacco (made a chewing tobacco without the dangerous parts in it) and smokeless tobacco, including nicogel and nico-water. Which were marketed by the company Blue Whale. This last gentleman might also have (had?) ties to big tobacco, either Reynolds or PM, but I haven't been able to hunt down that kind of link (yet). For now his past seems to be with the smokeless and with small companies or just his own company BlueWhale.

Oh another difference might well be (not quite sure, but it does look that way) that their cig does not emit any visible vapor.

They were planning to start out in the Benelux first, then Germany, closely after followed by US; but their newest plan is to start first in Argentine - meaning they probably now are aware, looking at us, how difficult the planned countries will be - so choosing to go for uncovered (by the e-cig) countries first.
