Hello :) I quit smoking about a year ago when my husband brought home a Vuse Vibe for me asked me to “just try it out”. Soon after I didn’t care for the flavor of cigarettes anymore in comparison to the Original flavor of the Vuse Vibe. But now that it’s been almost a year, I’m hoping to find something similar and less expensive. My husband is totally into the mods and making different flavors, but I just like my simple Vuse Vibe. I absolutely love the way it vapes with no buttons, just simple. I also love the flavor and I am hoping there are some recipes or tobacco flavors out there that taste similiar. Any info would be greatly appreciated!!!

First off, there is a recall on the Vuse Vibe. It seems the batteries overheat when charging. Vuse has issued a recall on the Vuse Vibe batteries. You can contact Vuse and get a refund for the battery unit.

Now that the recall notice is out of the way, the only other solution may not be so simple. The Vuse vibe was designed for simplicity. If you want to try several of your husband's juices, there are a few devices known as pod systems which allow you to refill those pods with your own juice. Some of those are draw actuated as well. Some systems include:

Juul... a very popular replacement similar to your Vuse Vibe. But they have prefilled pods like your vuse did.
Blu... MyBlu. Blu's pod system... again prefilled like your Vuse Vibe.
Suorin Air V2... a bit bigger, with a bit bigger battery. air activated like your Vuse, but you can refill with your own juice.
...and many more. There are many pod systems out there, but I would stay with name branded items, just because replacement atomizers/pods will be available. The main limitation to your query, is the air activated.. which limits your choices considerably. If you go with a button system, that opens up the choices considerably. There are still easy solutions if you are ok with the idea of pushing a button to vape.

Thank you so much for the info! I really appreciate it :) I will look into these options.

Welcome and glad you joined.
Looks like the Vuse Vibe does not allow you to refill your tank but only replace it (with one of the 5 flavors). Could look into this companie's offerings:
E-Cig Vape Starter Kits | Vapor4Life

Any suggestions to similiar flavors of the vuse original tobacco flavor? Or one with a similiar draw?

TIA :)

Thanks for that info. I use a toptank but started out with Vuse years back and have 2 vibes as a just in case. I do not keep up on Vibe news and would not have known so I will definitely return them.

I second the Blu. I purchased one on their dollar special recently and although I am past pods now, I keep one as an extra and would have definitely used it regularly if I was in the beginning stages of quitting analogs.

Sorry, I have never tasted the vuse tobacco flavor. If you are looking for a similar vuse original tobacco flavor recipe, you mentioned "My husband is totally into the mods and making different flavors" perhaps he could taste your juice and come close?
If you are looking for off the shelf e liquid (used to fill a vape tank), I found Atmos Tobacco Leaf to be a very good mix when I first started vaping.
re: Atmos Tobacco Leaf 10ml
I mix my own (DIY) now, so I can't list a number of pre made tobacco flavors for sale. You have one good thing going with tobacco, IMO, it's the easyest flavor to mix and get excellent results with minimum effort.

Hey Erin,
Wanted to chime in because I was in your exact position - looking for comparable flavors after the the vuse was recalled and I couldn't get the tanks anymore - a few months back. I realize this is an old post, but am writing my thoughts for future people looking. I have found a couple of flavors that are pretty good for me and some that sucked. I am about to try some NET flavors from Heathers Heavenly Vapes, and will report back on those, but this is what I have tried that has been pretty good.

Thought on flavors:
Best - Sahara from V2 (it is a little smoother than vibe but pretty close)
Good - Vapor 4 Life (V4L) Oasis and traditional tobacco (these are a little thin 80/20 mix instead of 70/30 and lighter on flavor but alright)
Bad - I tried Congress from V2 and it had a weird, sweet flavor that I hated. I tried Virginia tobacco from V4L and it had a (different) weird bad flavor.
OK - I have liked the V2 red flavor alright, but it is a little more sweet than the vibe original
I found something at my local smoke shop that had a flavor I liked, but it was VG heavy which tastes a little too sweet to me. It was Dirt Road Derby from Vape Atlanta, and I don't even think they sell it online...

Thoughts on devices:
If you stay with the gas station ones, you'll keep spending a similar amount of money. Also, about the vibe: The batteries didn't explode while charging, they just didn't turn off when you stopped pulling through it. If your batteries are good and you have some spare tanks, you can just find youtube videos about how to refill them and do that while you find a new setup. Just make sure the liquid is higher PG than VG. I have tried several cig-a-like type setups and am currently using an ego type battery with a kangertech EVOD2 tank with replaceable coils. It's working alright, not as silly as the big box mods, but I am not in love. Still on the hunt myself. Another option if your vuse batteries are good is to get some V4L 510 smileomizers while you find a setup that works.

I really hope this is helpful. I was scouring the interwebs looking for help with replacing the vibe (original) while they were no longer available around here and it was maddening. No one seemed to know what a good replacement for the straightforward tobacco flavor was.

Good luck!

Thank you so much for the in depth response. I just ordered a V4L 510 smileomizer and I also ordered the Oasis and Sahara e-juice.

I just got a Teslacig TPOD that came today, it has a similiar draw to the Vuse, it’s really tight. I think I like it so far.

I also ordered some juice from Heather’s Heavenly Vapes about a week ago, I will post an update as well as soon as I get them.

Again, I appreciate the response so much! This info helps a lot. I’ve been in panic mode, I don’t ever want to go back to smoking.
