I'm still unclear as to rather Zombies have a soul from a Christian viewpoint? I'm a Buddhist and we don't believe in "a soul" perse. Yes,we are all unique but our personality is a combination of several factors, not a seperate neverchanging entity. Also we don't have sin we have Karma...which does not involve punishment only the natural consequences of our own actions. But one of the few "commandments" that the Buddha did make was that we are not to consume human flesh. (really). So here's my question
Does being a Zombie necessarilly remove all traces of individuality?
And to carry that a step further,is it ever possible to reason with a Zombie? no...no...that's not really the question....okay....if any traces of individuality remain...no matter how dormant....MIGHT that effect ones chances of escape?

I feel this is important as it relates to religion because what if say....Zombies got the Dali Lama? Now we are talking a seriously devout individual....he'ld rather get malaria than kill a mosquito so after he becomes a Zombie....is he any different than say....Jimmy Swaggart as a Zombie?

Then of course there are the Jews and the Kabala...golums etc. Or am I just over thinking all this and a Zombie is a Zombie and thats it???

I would really like to know because if it matters and there is any advanced warning then I'm packing up the Queen and heading for the Monestary! shoot....I don't think they will let me vape there...hmmm..I'll have to meditate on this.

I personally don't think they do because they have gone through the whole process of dying. Soul leaving the body, being dead then being re-animated. Remember, being re-animated is not the same as being brought back to life. Also, a golum doesn't start out as a person. It's a creature made out of mud. (Source - X Files)

right....I just mentioned golums to point out that this was a religion predisposed to believe in the undead....so sisn't know if that would effect any residual psyche that might be left over.

okay....I believe I am clear on this now...it's just a brain sucking body....that's it...so the Dali Lama would just be a formerly-enlightened brain sucker. And Jimmy Swaggart would...well he would do whatever he does I guess. LOL

once again....Message Moderated and it doesn't show up apparently until "someone" has checked it.

Any truly buddist zombie would probably starve to death (if zombies can starve- I mean what does happen if they don't get the "nutrition" they need?)

I think Swaggart spends lots of time and money trying to create zombies that will send him money....

I think the brain is not a nutritional thing. I have only seen zombies with what appeared to be weight issues prior to zombiefication (msp and using my best George Bush impression). I have yet to see a zombie that had a brain overeating problem. Although I continue to watch Oprha for this.

In one of the more recent zombie events they all listened to the large mechanic zombie showing that they had the ability to organize. And possibly grasp the concept of a religion. To date I believe a hand to mouth existence without fear of consequence. And really they are already dead. So whats the worst that can happen?

I dont think Zombies care much for religion with the possible exception of voodoo which claims to create zombies.
Zombies range of communication seems limited to
"uuuuuhhhh"
and perhaps "braaaains"
With this limited conversational skill it unlikely they debate theology on any deep level (unless their god is either named UHHHH or Braaains)
