I'm pretty new to vaping, trying to get set up with a tank system. I have a Halo Triton tank and the eGo-T battery, they screw together alright but it seems the atomizer/tank doesn't make contact with the battery maybe, as it just doesn't work???

p.s. I also have a Tabac BCC tank, which DOES work, but it gives off such a nylony taste (that's why I bought the Halo Triton, to see if it would eliminate the horrible taste)

these vendors and many others refuse to switch to 510 threading, making none of their stuff compatible with everything else. the 510 has become universal, and these guys refuse to keep up with the times

well, the tank actually DOES screw on, do you think maybe not enough though, is that what you mean by incompatable?

The Triton will not fire on an ego/510...and this is the only adapter I've ever seen to go 510 to 808/ego...should work but I've never tried it.

510 to 808D Tank Adapter

The Triton is very similar to a Kanger T2 and the replaceable heads are interchangeable...so it might be almost as cheap just to get a T2. Also the T2 does work on a Triton battery...go figure.

Halo did actually have 510 threaded systems named Element - within my year of Vaping they eliminated all of their 510 devices and changed to strictly 808.

Halo, Smokeless Image, and V4L offer systems in 808 as they cater to the "new" and inexperienced vapor. All of their systems work together seamlessly so the new vapor doesn't get confused by "ohms" - "voltage" - "watts" and all the other terms that more knowledgeable vapors learn about during their voyage.

All of the above mentioned have ventured into the "VV" offerings to make the journey more appealing to the masses. I have nothing but good things to say for these companies because for the new and inexperienced vapors it makes the journey less confusing and hopefully something they will continue to do as a healthier alternative. (One in particular for me, anyways, has some of the most amazing juices!)

Some veteran members here still exclusively use 808 threaded devices and the market for other vendors to supply 808 devices has improved tremendously over the past year.

They could easily use 510 instead of 808 and still cater to new vapers

As others have already answered the question concerning the incompatibility of the 808 threaded Triton Tank and the eGo-T, I won't rehash, but did want to mention something I learned early on in my vaping journey.

Most new delivery devices should be rinsed thoroughly prior to use, and this has been a mainstay whether it is of plastic, metal or glass construction. I have never used a Tabac BCC, so I can't comment on this particular device, but a quick rinse does wonders (of course you need to let it dry :)) Early on I never did this, but found later it much improved my satisfaction with my purchases.

Granted it will not help some, but a quick vinegar (or vodka) rinse and water rinse can also rid the device of unsavory flavors leeching through.

Good luck with your journey!
