My original Provape 2500's batteries are starting to wear down, however, Provape seems to be consistently out of stock.

Is there a list of compatible, safe batteries for the Provari? I know Provape would like to sell their branded battery, and I would love to buy them, but each time I go to the website they are out.

Any help would be appreciated. My current batteries are on their last legs, so time is a ticking!!

AW IMR, AW 2600,2900,3100, Redilast 2900 & 3100 The MNKE IMR works well with a small rare earth magnet on the top of it, the ones I mentioned are the only ones I use other then the Provape 2500 series

I actually need a magnet to use my Redilast 3100's in my Provari. Is that not the case with you?

ya dont have to get your IMR's from Provari, I actually bought a bunch from Super T......the biggest concern for batteries, they need to have a protection circuit built in......the IMR's are the best as far as i'm concerned...never had a problem with em so far and I own quite a few.... the ones used in the Provari are also 'high drain' batteries, soo much better for a consistant vape each and every time. sure, you could use lower quality, (protected or not) batteries, but then if there was a battery failure, would you want to risk the chance of damaging yourself or the provari? it's not like you are using something like an E-Power or a Roughstack mod....they really dont have the circuitry that the Provari has, hence no need for anything like the IMR's, or high drain's for that matter ( ALL mods should be using protected batteries though )....and yet, i do use the IMR's in just about every mod now....there is a noticable difference, in my opinion, in the vapes...

IMR = LiMn = Lithium Manganese = High Drain = Not protected (no need for protection in LiMn batteries).

ICR = LiCo = Lithium Cobalt = Traditional = should buy protected batteries as LiCo are more prone to problems than LiMn

You don't need high drains in the 18650 size. The batteries are so large that even the "low flow" of the Lithium Cobalt chemistry gives you plenty of amps.

Trustfire Flames perform extremely well and are great value TrustFire Protected 18650 Battery, 2400 mah

Provape recommends using only AW IMR batteries. I'm staying with what Provape recommends...in addition, AW IMR batteries are known as the best batteries on the market. Just my 2 cents.

cheers,

This is not true (although it was true 6 months ago) -- the Provari 2500s are NOT high drain batteries - they are lithium cobalt 18650s. There are good LiCo batteries and bad LiCo batteries. The trustfire flames (not the trustfire grays) are good as are AW and Redilast.

thank you for your comments vapporn. I made those comments based on what provape's site says: as of today, those comments are still on the site.

cheers,

Maybe cause they want you to buy it from them.
If you read a few comments above yours you can see there is no difference .

When you buy a new car, the dealer wants you to do all the service and buy all the parts from them too. Most people don't.

I agree that the AW IMR batteries are the way to go with the Provari. However if they are not able to carry the 2500's anymore which have been pulled from the site I wouldn't mind finding another alternative with the same mah.

I have two 18650 1600mah batts coming with my third Provari, if they last me a full day I will be happy. I originally though the 18490's would last me a full day however now that I have juice I am happy with I have found the 18490 won't last me a full day and I don't like to carry additional batteries.

The 2500mah Provape has(had) are doing great for me and I get about a day and a half out of them or longer.

Heyas folks,

I had wondered if the protected batts would work. I haven't ordered any because I was concerned the protection circuit might cut in when used on the provari. As I understand it, the manganese oxide batts don't have protection circuits built in because they are a safer chemistry. Whereas the cobalt oxide batts can be unsafe without the protection circuit built in. It would be great to have a list of approved batts on the Provape website.

As far as I know the protected batteries work fine. I think the Provari 2500 batts are protected.

**edit**
Just whipped mine out and it is protected and impressed the office ladies as well :D

I do not buy my AW IMR batteries from provape; I get them at supertmanufacturing for a great price and the difference in price compared to other batteries is minimal for the best on the market.

cheers and peace out,
