Well the trustfire 2400's rated pretty good and I decided to try them. I ordered 3 pair from deal extreme and it came out to $4.34 a battery shipped.

I still have all my AW's I bought from Provape including the two 1600mah coming with the latest Provari I ordered.

I figure the Trustfires are worth trying for the price and if they don't cut the mustard then I have batteries for flashlights LOL

GR, here is a very educational spec sheet on Batts with specs graphs and charts, and a good read as well as a good go to bookmark here =

Your Provari deserves a high quality Batt with a good C rating as well as a high quality build, as dose any mod you are going to raise up to your face everyday.

I do not buy my AW IMR batteries from provape; I get them at supertmanufacturing for a great price and the difference in price compared to other batteries is minimal for the best on the market.

cheers and peace out,

Right but the Provari 2500s are a "secret" rebranded LiCo battery (Provari does not manufacture their own batteries, obviously). I am 75% sure :) that the Provape 2500 is the Trustfire Flame.

thank you for your comments vapporn. I made those comments based on what provape's site says: as of today, those comments are still on the site.

cheers,

Gator is correct and this is still the case.

The AW high drain are the recommended cell to use. We tested A LOT of batteries and there are many reasons why the AW cells came out on top.

Most of the protected batteries have a much higher internal resistance and the protection circuit on the battery can cause issues when you start pulling more power from the battery. This can cause the ProVari to turn off when the battery circuit shuts off and cause early low battery alerts.

We will continue working on new options but for now the AW high drains are really the best battery to use, and this comes from many hours of testing all the different options.

True, we don't manufacture our own batteries, but I can confirm that the ProVari power 2500's were not trustfires :)

Curios as to where the MNKE IMR came in on your testing vape360 ? any comparable results to the AW IMR ?

Since they were flat top cells, these could not be considered. :)

There is a new higher capacity IMR option coming in January. As soon as I get more info I'll pass it along.

I'm not sure if this is the correct thread to be posting this in. I have a question about Pro Vari batteries. Can the high drain AW IMR batteries I got from Provape be charged at intervals? Say I begin charging them at home, unplug them and then finish the charge at the office several hours later. Would this harm them? I just got my first Pro Vari last week and have many doubts on what can and can't be done.

Post changed to another thread.

This is how the AW 3100 protected fit with a small rare-earth magnet on top

Need to look into thinner magnets that would still be sufficient, but I think that's about as close as it's going to get with the 2800+ AW blacks.

After receiving some good advice from drozd, I start to question anyone who recommends AW IMR in the 18650 size or bigger. I love AW, both IMR and LiFePO4. All of the AW "high drain" types have a much better C rating, which is what we're interested in to be able to drive. This is a layman's rendition of a bunch of better posts on here, but the C rating times the capacity is the sustainable output current. This is a big deal in a VV box mod running a pair of 900 mAh 14500s because, the C rating of most batteries that don't tell you (*fire, etc.) is around 1 to 1.2. So with that pair, the total sustainable current would be about 1.8A... not enough. However, in 18650 batteries, the crappy 1 C rating is fine, because the battery capacity is so much higher. The $6 TF (flames) should meet or exceed the amperage limit of 2.5A enforced by the device itself.

Sorry for the tangent, but the point is: you don't need high drain 18650s. Had I not already bought the AW ICR protected 3100 mAh, I would probably go with UltraFire Protected 18650 Battery, 3000 mah and be just fine.
