Complained to the WRONG person!

So, my mother was over the other day and asked how my DIY was going, I told her all was well, and then complained about the frustration of steep time, not knowing how it would taste after the wait and all of that common to those of us who DIY juice...

She looked right at me and said,
"I didn't realize you had been gone from home so long. You do recall that I make my own wine. Right?"



Figured that was good for a morning laugh!

Love it! Yeah, it never bothered me much, either. I make soap, and a good Castille (100% olive oil) can require six months or more of curing time. Or more.

Compared to that, a few weeks of steep time seems like an afternoon in the park.

GAHHH I am a computer guy and expect everything to happen in milliseconds... yes I hate steeping. I have also made beer and wine and it drives me nuts. I have litereally lost 1/2 a batch of wine from sampling.

I used to made 'mead' (honey wine) and that takes a couple years of steeping before the flavor really matures enough to consider drinking it...
