If you plug "one prayer for judgement every 3 yrs for traffic tickets" into google you should get a bunch of hits.
"Prayer For Judgement Each household may receive one Prayer for Judgment Continued (PFJ) every three years without it counting as a conviction. If you have a minor North Carolina speeding ticket, you do not need a North Carolina attorney. Call the court and find out how to contact the ADA handling your case. Go by and talk to him about a reduction to a 9mph over ticket or a PFJ. A 9mph speeding ticket will not raise your rates if you have a clean record. This may be a better option and save your PFJ for a more serious North Carolina speeding ticket. A Prayer for Judgment is normally only available if you have a North Carolina drivers license. "

(I know I'm not from NC, but this was a quick lookup. Apparently if you can get it reduced to 9 mph that is better, to keep the PFJ in your back pocket if there's a more serious one later on.)

Good luck!

If the DA will give you a PJC without a lawyer involved then go for it...I believe that another conviction within the three year period will erase the PJC..Look I've had more than a few speeding tickets in NC..My last was $325 and I got an "improper equipment".. PM me the county where he got it...I may be able too suggest a lawyer....BTW your mailbox is getting ready too explode with letters from lawyers...They were talking about limiting the improper equipment tickets to a certain number in a specific time frame....$325 should be the low ball figure,,,,and no PJC...you don't want it coming back later...PM me the speed {50 in a 35...} and County...

That's 11 over the limit...Not so good...Your best bet is too hire a lawyer...The ticketed address will get plenty of offers too handle it...Pick one of those..You can go PJC if you wish...It can come back too haunt you should his judgement fail again...another ticket and you'll wish you had never heard of a PJC...I'd tell my lawyer straight up too enter a plea of improper equipment. Not a problem for a good lawyer....and it requires missing no work other than a one time trip too the lawyer...or you could mail the check and ticket saving even that time........
