Agreed!

I mix 500ml of 10% Double RY4 at 10mg/ml every 4-5 months.
I add a bit of fruit for the wife and she's happy.
I cut it 50% and add some hazelnut or cheese cake or butterscotch or a bit of each.

Nothing complicated. Just vape.

Cheers

ETA: Not that D-RY4 is a one shot, but it makes an excellent base as a standalone or for experimenting and it's cheap too.

If it's got more than 3 flavors, I pass. I guess some folks like to fiddle with 43 flavors per recipe, but it's not for me. Too much trouble.
UNF or UNF w/1% Cotton Candy and a HS RY4 @ 7%, are my staples. Admittedly, I just ordered some Purilum flavors after reading the PU thread, but even the recipes there are minimal.

The one shots are a bit more expensive, but I'm begining to think they are worth it. I've been into diy for about a year and to be honest most have been just ok. The 3 one shots are either home runs or at the very least triples.
What brand and flavors are you using?

@dennism - Have you tried any of the OneStopDIYShop "One Stop Flavors" or "One Stop Blends" yet? You use them singly with your own PG, VG, and nic base...like with other company's One Shots or whatever names they call them. Many on here really like quite a few of them from OSDIY.

Some of my personal favorites are: Lucky Shot, Baked Cinnamon Roll, Pink Lemonade, Lotta Latte (in combination with Lucky Shot in about equal parts), Blue Raspberry Slush, Licorice Torpedoes, Blueberry, and Succulent Strawberry.

They have an on-going coupon code, too. Just use either ECF or JFK at Checkout for at least an 11% discount usually. Signing up for their newsletter will alert you of sales, too, with higher % off coupon codes.

...I've been getting my supplies from ecx, and have been very pleased with them.
Real Flavors SC has some good flavors that can be vaped stand alone but ECX has a really limited selection. I see only 19 flavors there for RF SC but they make well over 200 flavors. Of the ones they have that I vape and like as standalone I would rate the top 3 for me as Cookies n Cream > Butter Crisp Candy Bar Type > Deep Fried SpongeCake. I vape dessert flavors 95% of the time.

The 3 that I have tried are sugar cookie fluff by ckemist, cuprian by dyi or die and island nectar by express diy concentrate. I already have 9 others for my next order.
Cuprian is awsome. Try Obsidian. Wayne actually gives hints at tweaking it. Its good with TFA peanut butter, banana nut bread and so on. I even like it with a touch of AM4A

One shot blends can work out well as a "no mess, no fuss" option. I do enjoy some complex recipes, but I started out with single flavor mixes in my tank, and kind of "built" my "blocks" of flavor. I tend to do at least one or two things to one shot flavors, although it can be very, very nice to have most of the work done for you already. They're a great option if mixing for others and not requiring the huge steeping window times I give myself.

I think some one shots definitely have a place in many DIYrs arsenals, and they can be a really great way to mix easily and build confidence while learning about other flavors. I have some I really love (although usually with at least one or two things else added... It can be as simple as a bit more "chocolate" with mint chocolate chip ice cream.

Just as with anything else, keeping good records (especially as one becomes accustomed to DIY and not requiring as "strong" or as "much" sweetener) is a great idea, as well. My tastebuds, they just changed, as I continued vaping, and I really prefer lighter mixes with less sweetener than in the beginning, etc.
