Ya I'm pretty concern about it. I was looking on the ecf forum and found so much info on wicks whats safe whats not etc. I don't know what's more concerning that if it was over 100 pages talking about pros and cons and health factors. As well as what resistance and none resistance wire etc. TO much info to digest my head about to explode. :(

Was curious if cov will be carrying other options than silica wick. I did notice different options in wiring. As for wicks i wonder if cotton, bamboo yarn would be a good choice? I know cotton can easily burn if not kept wet enough it doesnt have any harmful things that will go to lungs from what I read. Just after reading about fiberglass getting into lungs that kinda scared me. As for the different wires I don't understand the major differences between this kanthol, Nichrome and nickel and silver. I think Imeo mentioned no difference in taste so for me I don't mind using any or whatever is available unless its something to do with a health thing or performance.

I'm pretty concern with the wick since my lungs are not in its best shape which is why i got into vaping so i can quit smoking analog cigs. if anyone have any insight feel free to pm me or reply. Thanks

We will have amounts of wick, and both R and NR wire posted after all of the preorders have been processed.

We only carry the silica wick that Imeo supplies to us, I myself am just starting to become more familiar with all of the different types of wicking out there.
thanks buddy me too. to much info and i just learned that the silica wick is the same thing found in our regular atomizers and ce2 etc. So I been using it all along without knowing what it really was made of. I don't know if it will really harm us for say I'm no doctor. After reading a lot on the Cotton people using the actual sterile bandages since it cant contain any chemical because it been used on live open wounds. some guy was testing that out he said it worked but he recommended to use real cotton with no chemicals. Another guy was using the bamboo with success. so much info makes me get a headache. one thing for sure being that imeo tested it out with silica and thats what he recommends I'm sticking to it. till he says other wise.

I'm in the same boat man. Also looking at what gauge wires to use as well. I vape %100 VG that's very thick and I'm concerned about wicking speeds as I tend to take numerous long draws back to back.

On another note, I personally think it would have been good foresight on CoV's part to get the wick and wires up on the site with a given amount of time for people to purchase some (say 24 hours as they prep the odys) so it could come in the same shipment as our Odys. Only having one pre-made coil and zero supplies should result in a disappointing first day. Imeo recommends wires.co.uk for wires but I see no wick on there, not to mention I'm on the other side of the pond. I don't know what to do.. :(

I have to agree here. Imeo, you have the best customer service I have EVER seen....but 1 wire? ....for Noob's? That's not enough buddy. I know you gave it to us at no charge but for this to be a better experience for the newborns there has got to be a way to provide more of the supplies that make this amazing device function. Just my 2 cents.

lol, us vapers always find creative ways to keep on going :p

I wouldn't sweat the ceramic piece too much. Just pick up a couple of spares when they are available. I was one of the ones who got a broken ceramic with my Ody from the first batch, got a small chunk missing and a few visible cracks. I definitely cannot take it out in one piece, so I've left it in its housing and have been using it for about 6 months like that just fine. I haven't even used the intact replacement I was sent, yet, but I am comfortable in knowing I have it for when I do need it ;-)

smoke the brakes axaxaxaxa, that was nice Ez
I'm pretty concerned with the ceramic piece because that's going to be impossible to find.

I'm starting to wonder if I can pull a ceramic brake pad off one of my cars and somehow make my own ceramic cup. That MIGHT get a little expensive. Then again it would be a new way to "smoke" the brakes.
