I know I seen this mentioned somewhere before but I can't find it so guess I can open a thread. I seen someone mention using concentrated rockcandy flavoring in their DIY vape liquid. Is this something that really works? Does it taste good? I have never attempted any DIY but I will be getting a large bottle of unflavored nicotine liquid in a week or so and I really would like to experiment with flavorings and for some reason the idea of using concentrated candy flavoring really appeals to me. Would any of you who have tried this approach yourselves please share your thoughts and suggestions with me on this?

Flavorings for vaping are basically the same as whats used in the food industry just more concentrated. Most venders do have those candy flavors that you speak of.

Here are a few venders

There are hundreds out there but these are more of the favorite ones. Just browse through there flavor offerings.

Yep...people have been using Loranne's flavoring in diy for years. I bet it is the same thing your grandma was making candy with 50 years ago. The banana cream, and butter rum from (LA) are really great flavors. The stuff you can normally get at the grocery store, like Mcormicks, Watkins, etc, can be used, but are usually not very potent. You might have to mix 30-40% flavoring to get the desired flavor strength, which isn't economical, and it doesn't taste great because of usually high percentages of alcohol.

You can get TFA (Signature line); FA (Flavour Art); CAP (Capella); Lorann (LA); Flavor West (FW); Flavors Express (FE); Hangsen (HS); Jungle (?); Natures Flavors (NF) - and many different additive powders at eCigExpress (ECX) Electronic Cigarette, Clearomizer, USA e-Liquid, e-Cig Juice, DIY Flavors, Wholesale Nicotine, Empty Bottles for E-Liquid - ecigExpress

Their nic is very clean (not as clean as Nude Nic's, but very close) - and we currently get our VG from ECX by the gallon (but we're testing NN's right now, so we may switch).

I use several of the Watkins flavorings and a couple McCormick's from Walmart. They are just as concentrated as The Flavor Apprentice flavors that I also use. The main problem with the grocery store flavors is that they often have extra stuff in them that we don't want in our vaping so you have to check the ingredients carefully for preservatives & colorings. There are even "vapor approved" flavorings that do have added color so I suppose some people are ok with added colors.

I am in love with TFA flavors, and also have tried 9 one on one flavors and they are all great so far, i have 3 new ones im going to make sample batches of tonight... Ive tried the cereal sample pack, and lemon starburst, blackberry and peach rings(OMG its great!) And they are all good, the peach rings is spot on what MBV sells, its amazing...

I got 13 TFA flavors, 2 LA flavors, and 3 OoO(1o1) flavors to make test batches of tonight... I got the bottles all ready, just need to start mixing!

These 2 LA flavors(vanilla butternut and cream chese icing) both smell amazing, I cant wait to try them out! They are the first LA flavors I have tried, because they werent offered by TFA, and sounded good! :)

I have 60+ TFA flavors and the worst part of that is, there are still some I want that I don't have  . I really want to try their Fudge Brownie but as far as I know it's only on the bulk site (4oz or more, it's new).

Cheers,
Steve

Thanks dannyv45, those are great sites. I was only familiar with wizard labs. Those others look like they have great potential and variety. Do you know anything about just buying flavoring from the grocery store? Thought I seen that mentioned before too.
I would not recommend it for a person just starting out who is not fimilure with flavoring for vaping. A lot of flavors sold in supermarkets have additives, oils, gums, preservatives and ingredients not good for vaping. Further these concentrates are to weak to produce the flavor required for vaporizing. It's best when just starting out to use flavors from venders that specalize in flavoring for vaping.

My concern with the super market flavorings potential to have oils, gums, mucho alcohol, and other ingredients not good for vaping was the reasoning behind my original question. The first time I seen mention of using super market flavoring I wondered if it was even possible to vape because of the extra stuff in it. I'm really grateful for every ones advice here. Like I said before I aint never done no DIY stuff yet. It's the direction I am headed to though with not only the liquids but the coils and what nots also.

When you deside to jump in do some light reading first.

Read my blogs before getting started

E-Cigarette Forum - dannyv45 - Blogs

then read hoosier's blogs.

then read the stickies at the top of the page.

this will explain a lot of the how's and why's.
