do you put the o ring back in?
Well, I have to try this method anyways, just because I ADORE MicBang's accent!!!

You can leave all parts on and stop when you see a little liquid surfacing. Seeing what you're doing isn't a bad idea either but not necessary w/ this method. I also insert from the mouthpiece end but either end will work. If you fill from the batt end there's a little more clean up. Good to have two vids!
