At the local vape shop I have gone to, they soaked the tips in a disinfecting solution between users. On ECF I have heard many mentions of "condoms" used. Any opinions on which is more sanitary? How do the condoms work-is there just a small pin hole in the top? This may be ignorant but i would think saliva could still get on the mouthpiece?

Actually props goes to a local shop here in Kansas City. (Volcano of Kansas City) They bought some clear tubing and cut it up into pieces. Works like a charm and is cheap.
My local shop has tips that you can keep or they'll soak in a solution and reuse. I kept the first one and brought it home after trying a bunch of their flavors. Cleaned it and now I keep it in my vape case because you never know when I'll stop in next time!
That would freak me out, my local shop just uses the cartos once and tosses them, maybe not the most cost effective but they probably realize its easier and they're gonna make plenty off you in the long run to justify it.
Didn't know had shops that would let you try out different flavors, I do not like touching lot of things others have so that would kinds freak me out. I always wipe off the bottle of a soda after the wife drinks out of it
My local shop soaks them in a sanitizer (I'm guessing alcohol). This would be the most sanitary way to go since as you pointed out people could still get saliva into your tip with a condom. They'd pretty much have to spit in it to do so though. I like to carry a couple of condoms with me in case I want to let a potential convert try my vape
The condoms work very well. They are (as far as I have found) disposable Hookah pipe tips; cheap ($10 or less per 100) and very well suited for e-liquid tasting. I'd rather use those than disinfected drip tips.
The hookah tips are about 1.5" long, and the drip tip only slides in to the half-way point. The other half is solid rubber with a small hole (1/16"+); there's almost no chance of saliva getting down through there and on to the actual delivery device. I suppose it's possible, but as degnr8 said, you'd have to do it on purpose.

I'd try to find a local spot (we've got a TON of smoke shops here, one of 'em is even called Hookah Hookup) just to make sure they fit your application.
These appear to be the same tips I used at Mountain Oak Vapors several weeks back. They fit down over the clearo drip tip and were really nice to use.

I always have at least a tip or two on me so I also prefer my own. I have used the condoms before and never got sick so I'll just say they were safe when I used them.
My vape shop uses the disposable friend tips. They open it in front of you and let you keep it. I have a bunch I clean the same time as my attys and heads. I use them when people want to try my vape.
I carry tip condoms, like these. My shop offers them but, I have some on me so if I want to let someone try my vape. That's enough for me.
I keep 4 extra tips on me that I have soaked in everclear for letting people try it. My vape shop gives them away to try flavors out. That might be why I have a pink one right now....
