I just wanted to share a little bit of my experience. Hopefully someone will find it even remotely useful.
I had zero luck quitting smoking when I started vaping the first time, everywhere I went wanted to sell my all the fancy subohm stuff and it just wasnt doing it for me, ended up triple using for months until I quit vaping altogether, I would occasionally chew...eww.
I've had one cigarette in the past month after my battery died and am still fighting cravings on a semi regular basis.
My daily vape is a nautilus with 12 mg juice. I actually had one of the worst cravings today since I quit smoking. I just chain vaped the heck out of it until it subsided. I was nervous after a few puffs because it wasn't going away, then I remembered that the nicotine takes longer to have an effect versus smoking, and after 5 minutes I was pretty much alright, and more satisfied that I hadn't smoked.
I don't like to chain vape when I'm at home, since I can't keep the windows open now that it's cold. So I use my RDA, .2ohm build with 6mg liquid, take a few good rips by the backdoor, and then I feel pretty satisfied for a few hours as if I had just smoked a cigarette.
Camel snus hits pretty dang hard. I tried to use it to quit smoking before I picked vaping back up. I would usually have 2 in until I could go smoke though >. < on more then one occasion I found my head spinning, ready to keel over from the nicotine overload.
However, i bet you could be pretty successful using snus for your nicotine. And 0mg ejuice to replicate the habit of smoking.
I've also had less cravings when I used tobacco flavors.
Nothing has worked for me though as well as the tight draw of a nautilus with the throat hit of 18mg juice.
Moral of the story is, you have to experiment to figure out what works best for you. Hang in there, and don't get discouraged. Even if you can only get down to 5 smokes a day you'll still be much better off.
