Confused about new battery needing to be charged.

Hi all,

I'm waiting for my Triton starter kit to arrive and I've been reading posts about battery maintenance. My question is Halo says that most of their batteries come charged, but I've been reading that you should charge them 8 hours before use. What is the best way to start out using a new battery?

Every Triton I have received came pre-charged.

The G6 does not, and requires initial cycle charges.

Make sure you're aware of the ~5 rapid clicks on, you would be surprised how many people think they have a dead battery because it's not turned on.

Sometimes it seems like 7 clicks, sometimes 5, just click it real fast in succession till flashes back at you a bunch of time. The flashes tell you that you passed the Darwin test for turning on a Halo Triton Battery.

Yeah, my VV take Six clicks. 650mAh standards take Five.

actually, all 4 of my G6 batts were charged when i got them. i stuck em in the charger anyhow, but the light turned blue almost immediately.

so, mebbe it's a change on Halo's end or they're just covering their bases in case something happens with shipping.

Mine have all come charged. Just picked up some more a Week or so ago.
