Confused about new battery needing to be charged.

Make sure you're aware of the ~5 rapid clicks on, you would be surprised how many people think they have a dead battery because it's not turned on. ;)

Sometimes it seems like 7 clicks, sometimes 5, just click it real fast in succession till flashes back at you a bunch of time. The flashes tell you that you passed the Darwin test for turning on a Halo Triton Battery.

Every Triton I have received came pre-charged.

The G6 does not, and requires initial cycle charges.

actually, all 4 of my G6 batts were charged when i got them. i stuck em in the charger anyhow, but the light turned blue almost immediately.

so, mebbe it's a change on Halo's end or they're just covering their bases in case something happens with shipping.
