Technically you're not supposed to use low resistance supplies on eGos but many do anyway. 1.25 to 1.5 ohm cartomizers adds a lot of stress to the battery. The lower the ohm number, the warmer/hotter the vape and stress on your battery. Maybe a 2.0 - 2.5 ohm (still low resistance but not extremely so) would give you the warm vaping satisfaction without messing up your batteries. Supplies 2.8 ohm - 3.0 are considered regular resistance and safe for an eGo/Riva battery.

Some people won't go below 2 ohms on enclosed batteries like Ego and Riva. Some will only use them on mods where the batteries are protected or safe chemistry AA-shape and larger and removable, the way a flashlight's batteries are removed. Those batteries are cheap (like $5) and and some types of damage can be seen when they are removed for charging.

Consider a mod like Epower or something.

BTW were these Joye or Janty Egos or some random clone?

The dual 1.5ohm cartos are actually 3ohms as far as your battery is concerned.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

That's incorrect.

1.5+1.5=3/2=1.5...your batt see it as 1.5ohm...the amps, therefore the wattage is split between the 2 coils...of course, I could be completely wrong..........

That's correct.

Hey All,

I have been smoke free for over 2 months now using an ego tank. I have been trying new things with it like dual coil cartos and such and I burnt up both of my batts. the dual coils were 1.5 ohms, and I guess I shouldn't go under 2.0??? Is that right?

Thanks for your time

I burnt up 3 sets of 16340 batteries testing LR cartos and attys. It really stresses your batts and that's why I don't use LR on anything over the 3.7 volt ecigs they were intended for.

Heres a good calculator. Ohm's Law Calculator
