Confused about Pro tank 3?

I am getting ready to purchase a pro tank 3. But I thought I was going to get it from a site I found through here. I was researching it and went to Kanger Tech to look at something and realized that the one I was ready to purchase is different in the pic then the one on the site?

They are clearly different? Also the coils on both are not the same? Confused ?

The heads do look different. The chimney on the atomizer head is shorter on the Kanger site. I have not ordered one myself though. Perhaps someone who has opened one up can chime in here.

The one with the heads that look similar to current PT/EVOD heads is the factory photo. The smaller heads are you ones you should actually receive. Discount Vapers had this posted in their description. Not sure why they did this or if there was a last minute change or something of that nature.

If you look at the coils for the one on the Kangertech site, they're actually showing the Protank II (or at least the coils because those are definitely not dual coil ones). Maybe they were just using the photo for the II because it was for the pre-order. The image from the 101 Vape site is actually of the 3 and its dual coils.

Some sites do that I've noticed but usually include a note that "even though the image posted is X, you will be receiving Y. When I was ordering the Smoktech Sid, several sites showed the old rubberized finish even though it was discontinued. Then included a note that the product received would be the new anodized.

Just a guess. But the Kanger image is definitely not the Protank 3 dual coil version.

I got a series of emails from the Kangertech site wanting to know why I never finished my purchase. It was slightly annoying but turned out to be pretty amusing. All the emails were in broken English trying to explain why their shipping is so high and that I should be careful ordering from Chinese companies with lower shipping because they would be fakes. Finally I just had to write back and say, WHY WOULD I ORDER IT FROM CHINA?? I already got it from 101Vape with two dollar shipping.

I received mine from Vape Dojo yesterday and it's the shorter coil heads as pictured on the Kanger site. I've only used one of the coil heads so far and have had leaking/flooding issues and I don't want to use the other yet because I haven't found anywhere to find replacements yet. Great flavor and a nice warm vape when it's working properly though.

According to Vape 101 they should be getting the coils in today. I know they are a great vendor and are beatings other vendors with their pricing. Every order I have placed with them is shipped the same day if in stock and I'll have it in 2 days. I have nothing but praise for Vape 101. I always check their Hot Deals.

Just got home and opened my protank 3. WOAHHHHHHH IT'S SO GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD. Seriously improved experience for me.

The heads are the ones pictured in the first link from Kanger - short.

From my understanding Kanger essentially took the Aspire BDC design and Protank'ed it. lol

If that is the case, that's awesome! I have been in love with the Aspire BDC's since trying them. Hopefully my PT3 should be here by Saturday to test!
