Hi all,
First let me start by saying wow this forum is a plethora of information, it makes my head spill with all the info I have been reading. But I have learned a lot. But I am a little stuck with what I should place for my first order. OK alittle background. I have 3 smokers in the house and we all want to try vaping. And I think this is why I'm getting confused. I don't know what and how much to order. I have a $200 budget and it is supposed to cover 2 weeks for the 3 of us. I guess that's a good bench make to see if we are going to like vaping. We all smoke about a 1/2 to a pack a day. I'm a menthol smoker and 1 non-menthol and 1 half and half smoker(we don't smoke inside so actually when it isn't cold and snowing out it's a pack a day). I did find a Chinese site on here (someone recommended it to another) that offered (6) Joye 510 kits for something like 120 plus shipping but because I have been all over this site in the last few days I can't for the life of me find that post or site again. That is probably too much hardware but I figure for the price it was worth it. Anyway, so this is my dilemma, I don't know what or were to buy from I am pretty much settled on the 510 because people really seem to think it's the best choice for newbie vaping, but with mg strength and flavors and etc. etc. I'm stuck I were to go from here.
Sorry for the long post, I'm just excited to try vaping but don't know where to go from here.
Thanks

Cignot is a great vendor and is located in the US. That's means quicker shipping and less waiting. You can get 3 kits for $35.00 each.

Cignot your Midwest Electronic Cigarette store.

You should also get some liquid and Cignot carries it too. I would recommend not getting all the same mg...get at least one low, one high until you decide what you need to keep you off analogs.

Cignot your Midwest Electronic Cigarette store.

You could also order 510's from a China supplier like Heavens Gift, Eastmall or Health Cabin.

http://www.heaven-gifts.com/

It will take a little longer to receive your stuff but it usually only takes 7-10 days and you can get everything you need at one place.

Good luck.

You will need some extra atomizers but I don't know if Cignot sells them.

As for nic juice - well the sky is hte limit really. SO much to choose from, and many american suppliers so shipping won't break the bank. There's a list of 'good suppliers' on the front page of the forums here.
Flavor: very very personal. Go with tastes you like from foods or drinks, not necessarily tobacco 'flavors'. Buy the small sample sizes (3ml) to start with so you can a. go cheap and b.buy a lot to get a good sample of different tastes. MOST suppliers do sample sizes but not all do.
Nic strength: Again very personal. I got the Cignot kit with the 24mg carts and they seemed fine, but I also recently got some tasty vapor juice at 12mg, which is strong in flavor (and yummy) and I find the 12 mg to be quite strong enough. Even TOO strong because I'm enjoying the juice so much I'm vaping a lot more so therefore getting more nic.
The flavors and strengths are something that will be trial and error (and can vary from supplier to supplier too)
PG or VG: Again a personal choice but you should try BOTH and see if either of them have any negative effects on you, like too drying or tasting odd. The VG gives a lot more vapor and the PG generally a better TH. Some people find PG too harsh and have a sensitivity to it, so they only use the VG made liquids. I haven't had an issue with PG myself and I find that too much VG is drying. My liquids contain a mix of both, which is fine for ME (see how this varies from person to person? lol)
Good luck with your new hobby!

Being a new user myself, and deciding to go with the 510, I must agree with the current Cignot deal. The 2 510's for $35 is awesome. Prompt (free) shipping/arrival. And you get a couple of juices p/order (your choice (caveat emptor)).
Joye 510 NO BOX
Me, I'd go ahead and order spare mega-batteries (because the life of the stock 510 batts suck), my good source was AZ Smoke Free shop.
The Better Way To Smoke - M510 Mega Battery, Black
Which puts you right at $200. Which should get you through the next 2 weeks. :)
Juice flavors are VERY subjective, that will truly take time + money to figure out in the long run (I will say that I got a cherry cola (extra bottle after my "tobacco" choices) with my Cignot order that was tastier then either of the tobacco choices (Rich/Reg))

Thanks for the replies guys, I just emailed Terri about some stuff and got right back to me (wow). I'm bummed that they are out of the passthrough (black) as I am always on my computer and I think it would come in handy, and now the passthrough seems to be out of stock every place I look. uggh Rocky Mountain has discontinued them? Are they coming out with something better? I'll keep looking around I guess. But I will most likely be ordering the kits from Terri

Well I JUST started doing this yesterday, so take my comments with a grain of salt. I decided on the Janty Ego because of reviews on this site, and am thrilled so far. 2 friends and myself went to the coffee house last night and puffed on this thing for 5 hours before killing the first battery.

Another friend of mine has a cheep model that looks like an actual cigarette, and he has to recharge his battery about every hour and a half of use.

I spent right at a hundred bucks for the kit and three different flavors to try out. So far I'm loving this thing.

To me so far, battery life is crucial to not lighting up the old fashioned way.
