Newbie here looking for answers

OK, here's my story. I actually just heard about these e-ciggies a few days ago then found this site. I'm almost a 50 year smoker with no health problems from smoking. I quit once for 2 miserable years. I almost always longed for a smoke during that time. one day, I caved in and went back to smoking and haven't looked back. Now I feel I'm pressing my luck. I still have a lot of living to do and want to stick around to do it.

I have no idea if these products are really a good alternative, but I sure want to find out. Where does a newbie go for real answers... best products, prices, etc. I read a few threads but I'm getting more confused the more I read. Nothing but a lot of abreviations. I really need to learn as much about e-cigs as they may be my ticket out. Where do I find all the product reviews?

I smoked analogs for 40 years, had to quit before the Doctors killed me because I smoked. Every time I got sick it was because I smoked untill they finally find out it was something not caused by smoking (quit smoking) , by then I was half dead.

There is a place on the main menu for reviews of e-cig and e-liquid.

I really like the taste of e-cig better and enjoy it. I still have a analog every now and then.

How did you find the change over? Was it an easy transition, or did you slowly ease your way into esmoking from analog smoking?

I found fairly easy since my husband deliverd my first one to the hospital and I could use it in my room. I still have an analog some times, depends on how nervous I get. Used to smoke 2 packs a day. I have had a analog going and reach over and take a drag off the e-cig. I think e-cig are becoming more and more satisfying to me as time goes on.

Change takes place over time and pushing makes us fail. That is why I don't "cheat and have a analog", I just have a analog. I started in late June 2008. Just don't give up.

Everyone is different.... I picked up my first ecig and never looked back... never wanted another analog ever again - It's been 3 weeks completely analog free for me...

There are plenty of people on this forum who still smoke regular tobacco with their PV's. But even cutting down is a bonus, less tobacco, less tar, less carcinogens in your lungs....

You don't know how you'll react until you try..
