Confused on the Rm2. Help

Can someone tell me the difference between the Rm2 and the low profile Rm2?
Today is the first time that I've broken down the rm2 I purchased when I got my LP Reo grand, and the rm2 I got on the regular reo mini I purchased from the classifieds at the same time. I got confused when putting them back together as I could not tell the difference between the two. Both of them fit on both mods, and when off the mods they look EXACTLY the same except for the different drip tips I have on them. What is the difference between the two?

Has the catch cup on your mini been enlarged? Looks like the cap and all is fitting down in it.

eta cap was wrong word ... I meant the base.

Those both appear to be lp rm2's. The standard and lp are the same other than that lower "collar" being shorter just below the screw on cap. Someone will likely put up a pic of a regular one for comparison.

Those both look like low profile rm2's to me.

A "regular" RM2 will have a brass colored narrow milled out section at the base to fit the catch cup of a "regular" reo.

The base of the regular RM2 is turned down on a lathe exposing brass so that it will screw into a regular catch cup
Other than that they are the same
It looks like your LP RM2 didn't need to be turned down to fit into the regular catch cup

I have no idea if the mini with the standard catch cup has been modified or not. I purchased it off the classifieds here, but I can't find one bit of difference between the two attys. I didn't know if maybe I had gotten the wrong one with the grand or if the mini was using a LP even though it has a standard catch cup

Those are both LP RM2 s . Not sure how it works on that standard mini though . They don't fit standard minis - only LP minis your mini must have been modded.

Can we see a picture of the Mini with the Reomizer removed? Based on the photo it looks like someone enlarged the diameter of the catch cup hole. (Maybe...)

Is the inside wall of the catch cup on the Mini finished black? Or is it showing bare aluminum?

Are far as your RM2's go - those are both LP versions. So I'm curious to see what's going on with the catch cup on the Mini.

Just watched your video. As with all your videos, I left with my question answered. I don't have any exposed brass on either, so I guess they are both LP rm2s. I don't know why the one fits in the standard mini but hey, works for me. Also checked out your video on Koh Gen Do cotton while I was on Youtube and damnit, you've talked me into buying something else haha. I started out with organic cotton from CVS, then moved to Readyxwick, but now I must try this too

I don't see how the cup could have been enlarged after purchase. The paint and texture is the same in all areas of both reos

Definitely an enlarged catch cup. Maybe a Rob mod? Don't think anyone else could match the finish that well.

Maybe Rob made a one off wide catch cup . That's awesome that you have one that fits an LP RM2 . Thanks for the props too. KGD is the shizz

Dunno. Doesn't look modified, so if it has been it was definitely done by someone who knew what they were doing
