In your original Post. you said it is an all stainless steel device.

With bans threatening, there is not a single mod out there that will have the durability, reliability and warranty of an all Stainless Steel Precise! Even the adapter cap and threads are machined from solid stainless steel (not brass or aluminum, a much softer metal, which most all mods feature).

And now you are saying you are going to have a brass contact post.

One change i made was to have a custom machined brass contact post for the end of the switch. It's chamfered on the end and deep slotted both ways, giving four contact areas for better switch to battery connection and easier removal when adjusting switch throw.

So i guess My question is.....Is the new Brass Contact Post better then the stainless steel? Because i bought the 18650 based on your first statement. As far as reliability is concerned, and brass being a much softer metal.

My second question is the battery compatibility.

Will 2 AW 16340 batteries fit in the 18650 Precise? Since they are not 3 Volts each But rather 3.7 Volts each,Making my 18650 Precise a 7.4 Volt unit rather then a 6 Volt unit.
And while we are on the subject of batteries. Will the Protected AW RCR 123 bataries fit in the 18650 Precise? Since those batteries are 3.7 volts each as well. And which bataries do i need to use if i want to do a 6 Volt Vape instead of a 7.4?

The brass will conduct better and because it is not someting you will be scewing in or out (like atty connectors) should be fine. AAMOF in my opinion better.

This was answered previously answered, yes. Including the IMRs and Tenergy RCR123As @ 3.0V

I made the change as i designed a custom center post of brass, featuring deep slots both ways for better battery contact (4 contact prongs) and easier removal if one wants to adjust the switch. It won't effect long term reliability due to it's function. I will also keep extras on hand.

Thank you for the quick response.

But the second part of my question still remains unanswered. Will the 18650 Precise be able to take Two AW RCR 123 PROTECTED Batteries which are 3.7 Volts each? And will it take Two 16340 AW batteries which are also rated at 3.7 Volts each?

I have not tried those two batteries, I've tried the tenergy Cr 123s and the AW high drain 16340's and they both work. Do you have the dimensions of those (length)?

Best,

David
