Hi guys. Been doing a lot of playing around with various cartos, but know nothing about different resistances. Recently bought some fluxomisers at 2.4-2.6 ohms, kinda at random ( I know, I should've asked here first.) Anyway, before I get really frustrated, and perhaps waste a bunch of juice, are these going to work on my Ego-T batteries - 3.7v, I think?

Beyond that one question, what is it with all these different resistances? Which will work on my set-up, and why would I choose one over the other? Thanks in advance!

They'll work on your ego.

I can't give you a technical answer. I like boge 2.0 and the smoktek 1.7 cartos best. But I have used the fluxomizers that you have with no problem at all. Flavor is a little muted compared to the carto but they're pretty convenient. Some of my juice actually tastes better in higher resistance cartomizers, like the light fruit juices.

Short and sweet. Yes they will work. It may be a cooler vape than you like though. A lower resistance Carto will pull more watts out of the battery and give it a warmer vapor.

...instead of a long technical answer, here is an Ohm's Law Calculator enter different voltages on the top line and different resistances(ohms) on the third line and see how they relate to wattage...most folks find their sweet spot around 8 watts...some like it hotter(above 8watts) and some like their vape cooler(below 8watts)...using lower resistance can be used to mimic HV vaping...higher resistance at higher voltages can increase batt life for a given wattage...opps, starting to get technical....................

Thanks. I have some cartos labelled LR (doesn't say how low), that won't work at all for me. Do you know the range of ohms I can play with.

Not sure what a cool vape vs. a warm vape feels like, but am sure I'll find out when I try these out! Again, thanks for your reply.

I don't know of a mass produced carto that you can't play with on an ego. The lowest I have seen is 1.25 ohms. I use them on 650 Rivas for stealth vaping on airliners.

Technical is OK, I was a science major. You gave me just the answer I need, which was the number of watts to try for. That was the missing piece - thanks!

Sometimes the center pin of the battery or cart/atomizers don't touch..try taking something (I use a paperclip) and pull up gently on the center pin of the battery and see if it works.

BTW, if you have a multi-meter you can test the resistance of the cartos. The symbol for ohms looks like a horse shoe.

Exactly, and be sure to short the leads to get the lead resistance before measuring. If they don't calibrate to zero, then you have to subtract the lead resistance from the cartomizer reading to get an accurate result.
