I started vaping a few months ago and have been using Boge cartos on my eGo batts fairly consistently. I have a few tanks which I've been using with Smoktech Dual-Coil 1.5ohm cartos and, recently, the SmokTech 1.7ohm "Resurrectors."
I alternate between the SR and LR Boge cartos depending on the juice. It was only recently, however, that I put two and two together and realized that Equus Innova 3320 multimeter I'd purchased for my car earlier this year could also be used to test my e-cig equipment! The most helpful tutorial I was able to locate is GeekGirlVaper's video on YouTube.
Background aside, all of the literature I've seen on the Boge cartos has indicated that the LR cartos should measure at ~2.0Ω. I just tested a few LR cartos, however - brand new, if that makes any difference - and my multimeter is indicating a resistance of 2.6-2.7Ω. This seems to be a pretty substantial deviation from the advertised resistance of the LR cartos; has anyone else experienced this?
I also noticed that this batch doesn't contain the typically longer bottom condoms with the skinny little removable rubber stopper on the threaded end - rather, the threaded end comes protected with a duplicate of the shorter condom on the mouthpiece. Could this be a newer (or older) series of the Boge cartos? Are they even the Boge cartos, or some cheaper, higher-resistance knockoffs? I bought this batch of cartos from a vendor I'd not used before, but they have a great reputation - furthermore, the Smoktech dual-coil 1.5Ω cartos I'd ordered all test within +/-0.1Ω of their stated resistance, as do the 1.7Ω Resurrectors I'd ordered from the same vendor.
Has anyone experienced this? Might anyone be able to shed some light?...or figure out what I'm doing wrong, for that matter?
