A brief history of time - in vaping terms:

In the beginning there was the atomizer. It used a cartridge with filler in it to deliver liquid to the atomizer.

Someone came up with a brilliant invention, combining the CARTridge and the atOMIZER into one piece. Thus the cartomizer was born. And there is filler inside.

TANKS were then created to surround the cartomizer. Those are the things that go in the tank section.

While that was happening someone else took that cartomizer, yanked out the filler, redesigned it around a CLEAR cartridge to hold the liquid and then you had the clearomizer. Then they got bigger. The bottom line is any "thing" that combines an atomizing head or coil with a clear tank - and doesn't have any filler involved - is a clearomizer. That includes Kanger ProTank, EVOD, T3s, MT3s, the Aspire line, the Vivi Nova's, those Stardust things... Coil of some sort, tank with no filler in it. A wick is not filler. Filler is what is inside a carto.

RDA's, RBA's and RTA's are just... confusing for the time being. But they sure don't belong in the clearo section.

Both are considered clearomizers. If you see a topic about a clearomizer that's in the wrong section, report it so it can be moved please.
Thanks for answering.
So what is the distinction between clearomisers vs tanks as far as ECF is concerned?

Oh & I'm clearly not alone in my confusion. These threads are all on Pge 1 of the "Tank" forum.

Would it be possible to put the distinction in the description of the forums? Clearomiser/carto/cartomiser/cartotank/tank & RBA are terms whose definition changes depending on who your talking too.

So.....on those specs...... Where does the Kayfun system go? We do have to build coils for them....

Totally curious and very sincere question.
