Thanks Katya and Kiwi - much appreciated.

I shall get on to them. I'm worried about paying out for replacement parts for my existing setup as I'm not convinced it will work even with them. Thankfully, with my tinkering I can just about get the thing to hold together to squeeze out a few drags - so it's just about getting me by. And importantly, I'm off the cigs!!

Many thanks :)

Off the cigs is always good! Congrats on that. :)

Could someone kindly look at the vape escape website and suggest a battery to go with a new Kanger Protank? Sorry to be a pain, but i really want to get this right.

I really like the Protank and like the ability to vary the voltage on the battery i have. Would this be any good for example? Joyetech eGo-C Twist VV £22.95 - Vaping Spares - Batteries & Passthroughs Electronic Cigarettes | Vaping Devices | Accessories | E-Liquid

Ill ask the vendor for a replacement as well, but to be safe i think id be better getting a new tank and battery too.

A Vision Spinner and a Joytech Twist are very similar - a properly made Protank will fit on both of them. Some people like Spinners, some like Twists - it's a personal preference. I have Twists, but Spinners weren't out when I got mine. Spinners have a couple of advantages: they are available in more mAh sizes and the ticks around the bottom ring are easier to see.

That battery is fine - but I don't think your Spinner was the problem anyway. It appears the head for the Protank was not machined correctly and was too long. I would want a replacement on the Protank if I were you. A Spinner or a Twist work ok with Protanks. If you ever get something that doesn't fit - contact the vendor. There are sometimes odd QC issues that pop up for people with things.

Thanks for this, so what would you get instead of a Protank? Ideally something from this same site as its easier than registering elsewhere etc.

Edit - i misread your post to say 'i wouldnt want a replacement on the Protank' - doh!

Any eGo-class battery (including Twists and Spinners) will accept any device that is 510 or eGo-threaded. Maybe this illustration will help.

I prefer Spinners myself, but there really isn't much difference in performance between the two.

If you have any money left, get an eVod (they don't carry T3s, for some reason) and a couple of spare coils. They are made to be used on eGos--they are lighter than the ProTank and have the same diameter as eGo batteries.

eVod:

Extra coil heads--choose the 2.5Ω heads, they are the most versatile and won't drain your battery as quickly as the 1.8Ω ones:

You need to link to my newer image - I added a Protank and an EVOD. :D

Ok - well I made some suggestions anyway - but the Protank is a good tank with the right parts. So yes, I'd try and get a replacement.

But now it's copyrighted so I will need your permission. Do I need to pay royalties, also? ;)

Nice work!

Thank you. I made them to share with everyone, but they keep popping up in Google searches and I'd like credit. If you search for Bobo images the picture where I shopped the Smiley tank on it shows up.

hehehe...

I had to search deep in that looooong thread to find the picture of your smiley tank on Bobo!

Credit will be given--besides, the new images are signed. How did you get rid of the MadVapes logo?

Thanks very much, you guys and gals are incredibly helpful.

Much more than the Vape Escape staff who wont give me a replacement!

Your chances were slim to none. I can't say I blame them--I don't know of any vendor who would replace modified gear, in all honesty. Even the nicest of them wouldn't do it...

Good luck!
