Sorry for the poor quality pics, really struggling to get them to upload. It would not hold on without the beauty ring, but would hold without the wick part (sorry, I don't know what it's called) screwed in, hence why I had to file it down.

Now, I know I've completely broken this one, I'm just trying to make sure whatever I order now will correctly fit the battery. Or maybe I just get a whole new setup?

Sorry for the rubbish posting, and thanks for all the replies thus far :)

Well, once you've modified your gear, there isn't much we can do to help. I have used my ProTank on my eGo-class batteries (including Vision Spinners) without any problems just to test how it does, but I mainly use my ProTanks on larger batteries.

I don't know what happened to yours, my suggestion is to get a new base and a couple of new coils for your tank and start all over--they are sold separately. Or you may consider switching to eGo-threaded Kanger claeromizers like T3, baby T3 or eVod--I use and like them all and they are made specifically for eGo-class batteries.

Good luck!

Thanks for the recommendations here, I will look into them :)

Something is off here. The tank with the wick part (usually called a "head" even though it's on the bottom) screwed on should fit on the battery as they are. The outer ring has no purpose other than to give it a streamlined appearance.

The pics helped see - appreciate you posting them. Must be frustrating all round for you. It really depends what state the Spinner threads are in - if they still take Ego attachments then you'll be ok with the Spinner. The Protank doesn't look salvageable - although some-one mentioned there are spare parts. I think a T3 or mini vivi nova might be better - if the Spinner threads are ok.

There was no gap, but even when the tank was up tight to the beauty ring, the battery just wouldn't hold. If you picked it up by the tank for example, the battery would just fall straight off. I'm starting to wonder if it was defective from the start. I should of course have sent it straight back, but I was off on a fishing trip the next day and didn't want to buy a packet of ciggies.

Silly me.

I think a whole new setup is required, though it will hurt my wallet!!

Exactly as I thought, but with the head not screwed in, the tank did fit perfectly onto the battery, with or without the beauty ring. Wrong size heads perhaps?

Whoa!

Was there a gap between the beauty ring and the tank or something? I'm not use to seeing that as my Protanks flush mount tight to the beauty ring that comes with the tank.

The Kanger beauty is a bit taller than other cone/thread covers I have, but the others aren't flush on my Twists. Spinners are shaped a little bit differently...this is so odd.

This is the only part you will need (if you have extra coils).

Kanger ProTank Base Replacement

I'm sure you can find it in the UK.

Do you mean "fit perfectly" as in it was flush with no gap? Without the head there's nothing to screw into the battery connection. ???

Sorry, perhaps I'm calling things the wrong name. The Kanger Protank would fit perfectly (flush with no gap) onto the battery if the wick part wasn't screwed into the tank - if this makes sense. If you look at picture no 3 the smaller wick part was not screwed into the Kanger Protank and it did fit onto the spinner battery, with or without the beauty ring.

Sorry, this must be a very annoying thread I've created - lol

It seemed as if the extra length of the wick part was pushing against the battery connector and not letting me screw the tank fully into the battery. Very odd.

It sounds like your replacement coil head was not machined properly?

If so, your ProTank came with two heads--are they both the wrong size??? Have you tried the other one?
