My using a spinner guide for new to VV people.

Set the spinner at the lowest voltage.
Screw on your device
Take a vape
If you like the quality of the vape stop here

if not begin loop
spin up the voltage a little bit
take a vape
if you like the quality of the vape exit the loop
if you get an unpleasant taste spin the voltage down one notch and exit loop
If not go to begin loop

Just keep twisting it up and vaping until the unpleasant taste then back down a bit

Most people like to vape at the highest voltage they can before the taste goes off

No mucking with numbers

This is certainly valid advice. If you just want to get your vape on, this is a great way to get oriented.

Personally, since I am an IT engineer/architect type; I get the powerful yearning to understand why something works the way it does. Nonetheless, you don't have to be an electrician to get a pleasant vape on a good Variable voltage device.

I find that to be the cool thing about all of this. You can have just the amount of knowledge that you want to have and with very little you can reduce harm to yourself and your environment.

How cool it that?

I'm currently vaping with a 1300 mah vision spinner and protank 2. I'm using the original coil that came with the tank. I have heard that purchasing different ohm coils can affect different things like resistance and taste. I have no idea which ones do what. Please help explain this to me! I need a new coil!
Resistance is how easy or hard it is for the battery to push current through the wire coil. Ohms is the the unit that resistance is measured in. The symbol for ohms is an upsidedown horseshoe. Current flowing through the wire coil makes the coil heat up. More current flowing the hotter the coil gets
The lower the ohms of a coil the easier it is for the battery to push the current through the coil. The hotter the coil gets the warmer the vapor and more the juice it will vaporize. If you like the taste and the vapor production you are getting with your PT2 take out the coil and look and see what ohm rating it is. It should be marked around the base of the coil. You can get Kanger coils for the PT2 in 1.5(hot vapor),1.8,2.2, and 2.5 (cool vapor) ohms.
