Will those work on the Triton? I thought it had proprietary threads

Not proprietary, just 808 threads which are less common than 510 threading. There are fewer options in 808, but there are other 808 devices and parts.

For instance, Kanger 808D-1 CE5 clearomizers work just fine with the Triton batteries.

The triton tank will not fit on a 510/ego battery with any adapter that I know of. If you like that style of tank, it is nearly identical to a Kanger T2 (which ironically does fit on the triton battery or a standard ego). Both the trton tank and the T2 use the same heads.

An 808 to ego connector will not work. Unfortunately, although the triton tank uses the ego (outer) threads, the center post just does not extend enough to make contact on a 510/ego connector.

An 808 to 510 connector will not work because the triton uses the ego threads.

Sorry.

Sorry about that. I remember when Halo's units had 510 & 808 threading and then they closed out the 510 stuff.

Didn't know they started going to proprietary threading.

Knowing that will assure I never recommend their hardware ever again.

You recommended the standard stuff. It's hard to keep track of everything :( The proprietary threading thing is a bummer. Especially for new folks just starting out. I understand businesses need to make money, but it is king of an unethical way to do it (imo).
