Yeah I looked at TW and saw they were sold out... bummer!

Sorry for making you work so hard this evening.... But you did not mention you owned a Screw Driver in the devices you listed originally, maybe I just missed it.

I think I have come down to either the janty stick or screwdriver. I wish there was a site like cnet where you can pull up a side by side review. I have read both your latest posts (Kent C & Just Julie) and I am think I am even more confused then I was before.

I assume that you can direct drip on both the atomizers for both products (not that it has worked for me so far, just curious)

So if I got it all right...

JS: Less $ SD: More Money
JS: Less topping off SD: More topping off
JS: 801 atomizer SD: 901 atomizer (considered more flavorful)

BUT there is an adaptor for the JS to use the 901 atomizer
So it would seem to make sence that you could buy an 801 atomizer for the JS as well as a 901. When you want more of punch use the 901, when you do not want to be bothered with top off's use the 801.
Did I get that right. If so would using the 901 atty on the JS basically emulate the experience of the SD or is there more to it.

So do you need to buy different cartridges for the JS stick depending on which atty you are using? 801's if you are using the 801 atty and 901 if you are using 901 atty, or is the cartridges the same regardless of which atty.

Is the JS only sold at Janty USA or are there others for price comparison?

Where do you get the 901 adapter? I was on Janty USA and I only saw a 510 adapter (which might be nice as well, as I have so many atty's for it)

I would agree that both the Janty Stick and the Screwdriver are fine choices for a second PV. Just wanted to note that there are a few modders around who are creating 901 to xxx adapters, therefore, the Screwdriver (or any other PV that is based on a 901 atomizer connection) would easily be able to power other atomizers (like the 801 and the 510) and derive the same benefits. However, I will also agree that the JS is less expensive and more technological w/ it's ability to be used as a passthrough and charge it's internal battery via usb. Both are very good devices...just wanted to add in a few more facts to help you w/ your decision-making. :)

As far as carts...yes, as a general rule, you need the specific cart that is designed for the atomizer you wish to vape on. Therefore, an 801 atomizer would need the 801 cartridge and a 901 atomizer would need a 901 cartridge.

Go to shawn at litecig and get a couple m201 attys and carts. Build a cheap and effective nicobox and vape your heart out. Only reason for the nicobox would be that you would have a cheap and effective battery with a manual switch. As far as the stock m201 battery life, it's fantastic, just that it's mic activate and my environment is not quiet.

What's that red hot glowing thing in your pocket, is it your pv or are you just happy to see me...lol

>Yeah I looked at TW and saw they were sold out... bummer!

The SD has a mini and a classic - the mini is the 901, the classic is the 801 just like the JS.

> Sorry for making you work so hard this evening.... But you did not mention you owned a Screw Driver in the devices you listed originally, maybe I just missed it.

Julie has one I do not.

> I think I have come down to either the janty stick or screwdriver. I wish there was a site like cnet where you can pull up a side by side review. I have read both your latest posts (Kent C & Just Julie) and I am think I am even more confused then I was before.

What are you confused about? If it is about the cartridges, I misread Julie's post at first - where she said the 510 _with_ the cartridges is bigger than the JS. That's just the length of the whole unit not the cartridges themselves - the JS 801 cartridge is bigger than the 510 by @4x.

> I assume that you can direct drip on both the atomizers for both products (not that it has worked for me so far, just curious)

Yes you can drip on the atty or fill the carts.

> So if I got it all right...

JS: Less $ SD: More Money
JS: Less topping off SD: More topping off
JS: 801 atomizer SD: 901 atomizer (considered more flavorful)

If you get the 'classic' SD you get the 801 atomizer. If you get the mini - the 901. JS comes with the 801 but you can get adapters for the 901 and supposedly the 510 - haven't seen it yet - and wouldn't get one if it were available because the 801 is a dream to vape because of the size of the cart.

> BUT there is an adaptor for the JS to use the 901 atomizer
So it would seem to make sence that you could buy an 801 atomizer for the JS as well as a 901.

You could buy a 901 atomizer for the JS if you had the 901 adapter for it, yes.

> When you want more of punch use the 901, when you do not want to be bothered with top off's use the 801.

I don't know. I don't have a 901 but I don't think 'punch' is part of the advantages. Some say taste is - but that is usally in comparison to the 510 which can run hotter and supposedly hot destroys flavor. I don't agree but that's the 'word' on that. lol. I've never really seen it applied vs. the 801 but I suppose. I get the same flavor from the JS and 510 except cappuccino tastes better on the 510 as do a few other flavors. But in general I find no difference in taste.

> Did I get that right. If so would using the 901 atty on the JS basically emulate the experience of the SD or is there more to it.

No - see above - Both the JS and SD classic have the 801. The SD also has the 'mini' which is the 901. The JS has a 901 adapter where you could use a 901 atty.

> So do you need to buy different cartridges for the JS stick depending on which atty you are using?

That would be the case with any mod.

> 801's if you are using the 801 atty and 901 if you are using 901 atty, or is the cartridges the same regardless of which atty.

The cartridges are different between the 801 and 901 - much different.

> Is the JS only sold at Janty USA or are there others for price comparison?

Dietsmokes.com sells the JS but for the same price. There is a UK vendor that sells them as well - iVapor or something.

>Where do you get the 901 adapter?

Janty or dietsmokes but they may be out of them.

>I was on Janty USA and I only saw a 510 adapter (which might be nice as well, as I have so many atty's for it)

I didn't know they had released it yet - been promising for a while but while I have @50 attys for the 510, I'd still use the 801 attys - got a few of them as well ;-) There really isn't an advantage other than battery life to run the 510 atty on the JS. Although batt life could be an advantage.

BTW, I tried out the 'mega batteries' from TW for the 510 and they are nice! Seems like I'm getting almost 3x the time on them vs. the regular 510 but the rating of the batt doesn't justify that. At any rate they last a long time. I'm usually power vaping on the computer and I normally go through 510 batts somewhere between 1 hour and 1 1/2 hours. I started one of the big ones at 12:30 the first day and had to recharge at 4:00. Then that one lasted until 9pm but I was watching some TV. Normally I'm still hitting other ecigs - mainly JS and 510 passthroughs but I was focusing on the megas since they were 'new'. They are about an inch longer than the regular 510's and of course won't fit in a PCC, but I knew that.

Kent C... Thanks so much for the time you have taken answering all my questions! I swear I think I have become a little loopy since I started vaping. I used to be pretty much on the ball, but I think the nic juice has gotten me a little crazy!

Yes, I saw Julie was the one with the screw driver, I was addressing you about TW being sold out and then Julie about the screwdriver, guess I should have been more clear!

I've been loving my TW mega battery, starting to think I should have bought 2 for when one was charging, but of course I do not have a USB pass through or any other model that has good battery life, so for me the extra battery life is a novelty. I would ceratainly suggest it for any one that has just the 510!

I have decided to go with the Janty Stick, but I must admit I am an instant gradification sort of person and get some what fustrated when what I want is not available. I will have to email them to find out when the other things I want will be in stock. The 510 adaptor is in stock and in my cart. I figure I have about 14 attys for the 510 (I know not much compared to others) I might as well make use of them with the adaptor.

By the way is the graphic in your signature from Mad Men?

Yes. Photoshopped by me a bit. Reduced to a gif size by a friend who knows how to meet the 5k limit better than I.

I see the adapter is $19.95 - nothing compared to what I've spent :) But I really don't see the need. You don't need the 901 adapter to start enjoying the JS, that's for sure and it will be a let down if you get one vs. the 801.
