It's really your choice. tanks are normally a hard polycarbonate plastic, with o-rings holding the endcaps in place (and providing the seal around the cartomizer).

I vape a pretty mild vanilla tobacco, would have no problem switching from it to any other flavor after a quick rinse; on the other hand, if I vaped a strong cinnamon, the flavor might tend to be tougher to rinse out, at least from the rings. Tanks are really stellar once you get to an all-day class vape. If you are switching flavors frequently you might find it simpler to just stay with individual cartos on the lavatube, or else pick up several tanks for the flavors you use often, and just cartos for "samplers". I know one person with a handful of tanks -- they like several flavors a lot, switch carto tanks several times a day.

You can order as many as you want.

It's not really that hard to rinse it out to use another juice, but really it's just more of a PITA.

MOst people use tanks for a juice they really like and vape a lot. If you don't have a juice you really like and/or switch juices a lot, I don't know if I would even use a tank.

Thank you, great suggestions, I got today the USB manual battery for my KR808's and its a big difference vaping at constant voltage, to me this is an indicator that I really need the lavatube.

From the starter lava tube kit what do you consider essential? comes with the charger and two batteries right? do I need to consider any spare parts? I would like to order what I need from once since in my country they are not available so I will order from the states.

If this is your first LT I would recommend the one from vapor beast (unless you wanted chrome). It is the newest version.

If you go with a mini I would say to get 4 batts to last you all day (gives room to let batts sit after charging). 3 if you get a full size.

Snatch up a drip shield and an 808 to 510 adapter. 2.5 to 3 ohm carto's seem to be the best with the LT.

Thank you for the suggestion, any main differences between the vector variable and the lavatube? I've also heard the mvari is the same as the lavatube but $20 less

The knockoffs are just as good as the real LT.

As for Tanks, I run 4 tanks a day but I love switching between flavors. If you use a small set of flavors, just stock up on Carts as the tanks themselves are extremly easy to clean.

I would HIGHLY reccomend picking up at least one more battery for the full size or 2 more for the mini as stated above, you want to let those batteries rest after you charge them.

I'm using 3 tanks, Phiniac Pyrex glass tanks as I like switching flavors and with a tank, it's hard to get the old juice out of the tank carto. So, by using 3 tanks, I can switch and rotate as I please........ I have 4 batteries that I rotate, too. One battery lasts me about 6-8 hours (I vape at 5 volts which uses more battery power). If I turn it down to about 4 volts, one battery will last nearly all day. 3 is a must, if one fails you still have another one to use while one charges........

Ok I understand, one more question, how much does cartos for use with tanks last? same as any other kr808 carto I'm used to? I'm doing numbers to see how much Do I have to stock up with

The average is 1-2 weeks with fillered cartos. alot of it depends on how hard you use it and the voltage/ohm ratios.

There are 3 versions of the true LT from L-rider. The original flat topped 2.5A (v-tube, varitube,howitzer,VVV....), the ego topped version (same specs) and now the V3 ego topped 4A limit. I don't know if there are any other changes to this model, I don't have one yet. The one from VaporBeast is the newest true LT out.

The 1.5 is made by a different company (Uniq, J-Lin Tech) and has different features and specs.

Quick question. What is the reason to let the batts rest after charge? I usually do, but not on purpose. Just curious? Anyway, I have had my Powertube (LT) for probably about a month now and I love it. It is a great inexpensive way to see if you like vari-volt. I know now any mod in the future will have to be VV for me! My only complaint is my LT shipped with DCT-V1 tanks with 2.5ohm carto's. I know I am not getting the full voltages, and I have a muted flavor which I believe is due to them being Smoktech I think. I will admit that sometimes a 6ml tank is a bit much for me cause I like switching flavors. Plus I find them to be a bit messy sometimes. However, it is nice not having to always top off a cart on a long drive or something. But I miss my flavor from my Kanger 808's. So I think a 510 to 808 adapter will be in my future. And I may just keep the tanks for those long drives. However, nothing looks cooler than a tank on a big battery mod! Arggg! The options sometimes drive me crazy, but I am glad they are there. I just need to find my preferred cart setup then I will be done. Plus, did I mention that I am a crazy cinnamon and citrus vaper? Yea, my DCT's don't like those very well! lol

There are two types of DCT's. polypropylene tanks can handle cinnamon and citrus just fine (same stuff that syringe bodies are made from). I use mine with all kinds of liquids when I feel the need. The cheapie tanks are usually Lexan (polycarbonate) and are susceptible to damage via citric acid, EM, and cinnamon (and some other oils). The "Pro" tanks from MyVaporStore and many others (like TW) are great tanks. I also recommend metal caps. The plastic ones have cracked in half on me and I am very gentle with my tanks. Good tank body+good caps=great vape. I am fairly certain that all of the colored tanks (from smoktech) are polypropylene tanks. Other than that, phiniac tanks are pyrex glass...no juice is an issue unless you are vaping etching acid :)

Hard to tell. I have one carto that I've been using for a month now, I've had others crap out on me after a day....... There's no consistency in manufacturing, apparently. Also had one DOA..... But the one in my Cherry Cheesecake tank has been in there for about a month and it's still going strong.................... :)
