Considering two different mods sid vs svd

I went with the SVD. It's a really well thought out unit (except the screen and button orientation is better for left handed people). It's well made, telescopes for different sized batteries, the screen is easily read in bright sunlight, the battery cap is designed in such a way it will not dent batteries, the drip well is removable (easy to clean and can be removed if the head you are using won't fit with it on), the main button gives you an idea of the battery status, only three clicks to turn on or off, the settings lock so they can't be accidentally changed, dedicated buttons to control power, and it looks extremely classy.

I was originally going to get the SID, but when I saw the SVD I had to have it.

I love that it looks slightly like a light saber.
