It could be the Peak insulator on the posts, do you have another atty to test the mod in order to eliminate the chance of a problem from that end?
ill take the deck apart once more I guess..... try another deck as you get three different ones... and only one of them comes with a peek insulator

It happened to me on a Lost Vape Triade and a Goon 24 with a low built and batteries @20% on power mode but it was resolved with a fresh set of batteries, if you have an ohm meter try to see of you get a reading of the built.
theres a point my batterys are dead almost... I do have a UD ohms metre but I could never get it working? numbers always stayed the same.... ill whip it out and see if I can get it going

the deck instantly started wobbling when I put it on the ohms reader, perhaps theres something wrong with the 510? :S....... it has 3 o rings attached? maybe they're not in the right places....
i think the o-rings are fine but the 510 isnt screwing into the deck base properly...

You need a nice (German) 23mm tube mod for that beast mate ;)
right well I guess that's whats happening then, just screwed it on to the ohms metre, the deck instantly became loose as anything, unscrewed it went back to solid as if itd been glued on..... surely I'm not the only one with this issue :s better contact e phoenix....
