Ok, this is something I don't think I've read about. Anybody ever heard of an atty that always floods?

Out of my two atty's, one is always fine no matter how I fill the cartridge or what cartridge I use (stock or PTB). But the other ALWAYS floods. I haven't changed how I top my carts off with the juice..but it always floods. It makes that gurgling noise and I blow out a lot of liquid..and it's good for a few rounds..then it floods again. I'm not sure WHY this happens..I just know that it keeps doing it.

Other than the constant flooding, it appears to perform fine. I just can't figure out what is causing it to flood so much, and what I can do to prevent it.

just guessing here, but perhaps the resistance changed and it isn't heating as much as the other.

yeah, maybe not, but i don't have any other idears ...

Actually that is what I was thinking too. Ajaxus, can you check the resistance with a multimeter? One pin to the center hole on the threaded end, the other to the threading itself. You should be seeing in the range of 3.2 ohms, if memory serves. Lower than that, or worse close to zero, and you will have your answer.

Another issue might be dirty threads. Try cleaning them off with a little alcohol and a paper towel, sort of twist on them hard. If you get black on the towel, the contact might have been bad.

How old is the atty? This will happen anyway with age.

my experience with 510 attys since last sept is limited to 5 of them out of the 11 i have.
i use 3 oem batts 1 mega batt and on a 5volt pass thru and of course on a SD. oh and now a ego :) that i am going to make/get a 901 adapter for.

the 2 that leak are the oldest, it seems it started since the dry burns on them, the next 2 get the funny taste very soon after topping off, very carfule not to dry burn them, the 1 in rotation on batts has a dry burn because of using while driving at night.
i`ll say that with the ego, the cart gets used up to and almost dry cart filler, the cone i think makes for a lowering of viscosity, something the oem batts and SD almost does, but can not.

flooding happens on my oldest attys that now stay on the passthru, and those white threads that some people pull out are not white any more but look blackenbrown and also look brittle...my attys flood very quickly after dripping in a rush, not counting to 3 between drops stopping at 3 drops.
in other threads about atty tempurature, i cant see see how they have such low temps., after all when metal heats up enough to glow with visable color says to me its HoT...and that will break down the coil and anything inside the coil, changing the amount of current needed to get up to the vaporization temp of the mixture of PG/VG,
nicotine, flavorings.

I have the same problem with one of my attys, started using 3 new ones at the same time. All three worked great for the first couple of days. Of the three one consistently floods.

I thought it might be the cart mod, liquid, etc, etc. To verify that it was indeed a problem with the atty I took the cart from the crappy atty and used it on a good one and no more problems.

I've been having leaking issues since i got my 510 a month ago. Same original atties with HOV liquid. Just got some juice from Myfreedomsmokes today and im not having any leaking and it vapes way better. I think juice plays a big role. Too thin and it'll leak all over. Too thick and it doesnt wick. Just my $.02
Good point. Also note they aren't exactly identical. Some bridges lean one way and some dig a bit deeper into the cart.
