My husband.

He has been a stay at home dad for 4 years after his company downsized.

Financially, it is rough - we eat TONS of mac and cheese with hotdogs and ramen noodles.

He is the most amazing husband and father and person I have ever met.
The first to pitch in when someone needs help.
The last to quit when a job needs doing.

He cooks, he does laundry, he changes diapers.
He cleans up baby spit-up and wipes crayon off the refrigerator.
He even makes mac and cheese with hotdogs taste good.

He flies kites and does fingerpainting with the kids.
He has the patience of a saint even when dealing with three over-tired children under five years old.
He saved my sanity when Baby Bear had colic pretty much non-stop his first year and I wanted to sell him to the circus.

He encourages me to go after my dreams even if it means his must stay on hold.
He always thinks of others before himself.

AND, he's handsome. :hubba:

If my kids are my sunshine - he is my sun....

#4. My heart was heavy because I haven't seen my son in a week. I went to see him yesterday at the sober house where be is living. We embraced and shared our hearts. He looked beautiful. His eyes were bright...he was dressed impeccable, his hair was styled and he was clean. It was truly amazing to see him looking so great and smiling so bright.

He had gone to most of the folks, stores and places he had either stolen from or wronged in some way in order to feed his habit.

I told him how very proud of him I am. The courage he has to keep making a mends for his actions during the time he was using, makes me even love him and honor him more than anyone can imagine. He made my heart smile. 000119.gif

#5. My stepson just came back from Afghanistan as he is in the Airforce . He paid us a visit and stayed with us for a week. He drove 34 hundred miles to see his family. He left to go back to Louisiana where he is stationed.

It was so great to see him so happy.
I am so thankful and proud of him for being such a big part of my son's life. They were very close growing up.

I am thankful for his dedication to serve our country and knowing that he is home safe and sound.

Two of the best days in my life was when my children were born. I was told since I was 12 that children were not possible for me, due to a childhood accident. God blessed me with two of the most amazing kids. I made some pretty big mistakes and ended up losing custody about 9 years ago. To dull the pain of losing them, I drank. On 2-16-09 they told me that if I kept drinking I was dead to them. It was the turning point in my life. I have been sober ever since that day, and they forgave me for everything I did. It was more than I deserved. Every year on my sobriety birthday, they always do something special for me, to let me know that they are proud of me and to be my children.. After all this time on May 7, 2012 I was given full custody of my children. I am honored to be their mother. They are my biggest champions. They help give me strength to stay sober, and to stay "stinky" free. They are my reason for smiling every day.
