Contest-Ception - The most original ECF competition to date!

I think forum contest should be simple. I like the random number picked type contest myself.
What about a murder mystery game. It would start with a simple setup story introducing the characters and the overall story. Additional clues could be given once a day after that. The first person to figure out who did it gets the grand prize. Each contestant only gets one chance to pick the killer, and I think they would have to enter their guess by PM so no one else could see what they guessed. Maybe you could pick random prize winners during the contest for smaller prizes like gift certificates. The first person to pick the killer gets the grand prize - a SS Vtube. The second person to pick the killer gets a SS mini V tube.

The concept has been changed and we will be selecting the winners, we don't want any conflict on the great ECF!

Another idea....a contest with father's day in mind. Photos of the ugliest ties. Winner will be chosen based on the ugliest of them all.
Of course the winner would win: A Apollo SS v-tube.

Neece that's a good idea. Drawing would be hard for some. But the features idea is cool. Colors...functions...stuff that should come with the kit etc.

While I understand the idea of a simple contest (I love em), sometimes a little work needs to go into them. I see contests all the time where it is just a person posting again and again to try to win with no interest vested in the contest, the thread, or the vendor. I don't mind working if it is fun and something cool. Not going to put a bunch of time in for a 10ml bottle of juice, but for something substantial I will put a little effort and actually follow the thread. That being said....
I think the contest should be to make a story, in pictures, video, or words, of the adventures of your Apollo (or other) PV. The contest would be judged on the originality and creativity of the story. There would also be a side contest that would be based on the execution of the story (MM would be a tough one to beat on this one). The judging would be done by Apollo crew and a group of peers selected by them. Maybe have the selected guest judges be made up of newbies (maybe have a special side contest for the reviewer who provides the most insight - can you say draw in potential new customers?), that way it wouldn't become such a popularity contest.
I know, a lot of possibilities, but it would be fun.

Golden ticket. Put a couple golden tickets in boxes of cartomizers or something and who ever finds them is the winner!
Hmm, well, what about having some secret symbol hidden on your website, and the first person to find and post it wins something? IDK, but it would get people looking around at the website, if that's what you're after! BTW, love my mini ss vtube. I drop it all the time and it still loves me. 
Edit: You could have the winner of a prize pick the item that would have the next secret symbol. It could be something they think the next winner would like. I suppose you could take it a level further where everyone could have the chance to swap prizes around at the end!

Apollo's First Annual Hot Tater Race
Here is my entry.
trying to (kiss) Keep it simple
1. The entry will have to be closed at some point. This is called "Sundown". No NEW entrants after Sundown
2. OP will chunk a hot tater at a random member in the thread.
Tater is big, red writing or something easy to see
3. The receiver of the hot tater will be known as "IT"
4. Keep the tator for a while, known as "Bouncing the Tater"or chunk
immediately...it must leave his hands in allotted time. (2 hrs, 6hrs, 24hrs, two days, lol just whatever sounds fair)
5. If IT does not get rid of the tater within the allotted time period, IT is OUT!
6. Once you are out you may not play again until the next leg of the race begins...Part II, of Apollo's Annual Hot Tater Race
((at random intervals OP may pass out (random.org) appetizers (juice) and drinks (disposables or clearos, whatever)
7. When someone is Out of the Race, OP or MOD chunks another tater to someone
8. This goes on for some time until....
A. post count is high enough
B.There are only 3.4.5.6.7....people left (up to OP's discretion)
C.OP just decides it's time and...
9. The game is called SOUP! Time to drag random.org out and pick the winner!
10. During the race, chat as much as you like. It will make it harder for people to find out if they are "IT"...but,
a person can only be "IT" every 3 or 4 or 5 turns. (OP decides)
Even if you are put out...stay and chat. Then you will know when the next leg starts and cheer on your friends.

1 . The winner cannot play the rest of the games, unless, he/she wants to play for someone else.
2. He may only play for another efc member or to contribute to efc management for contribution of membership games.

4. Master Chef will be entitled to a 30ml Spice (E-Juice) each month for one year.
5. If for some reason the Master Chef does not need spices, example.... he/she diy's and makes their own spice (juice) then...

Might be a good idea to get a couple helpers or Monitors to help out.
I have tried my best to keep this simple and the concept is, the explaining is less than simple. Everyone should asks question before we start, if they have any. OP may simplify the contest in any way he sees fit.

I like the idea of creative work being featured on the Apollo website or if you guys have a blog or something; it could be good exposure for writers or artists or photographers. Maybe a photo contest of the craziest spot someone can smoke an e-cig and get away with. First place could be a stainless steel and some liquid, second maybe just a regular VTube, third some e-juice and a gift card, fourth some e-juice. I'd probably take a photo of me smoking in a taxi in New York while the driver looks confused - the irony!
I'd also like to add that the simpler, the better. I run a small charity site, and when people give away stuff in contests, you would not believe how lazy people are if you even have to take a pic. I was giving away a $25 Outback gift card for the pic of the worst pot/pan/etc, and I think I ended up with three entries. People just don't want to work for freebies, cuz we are in general lazy .......s.
