Not too "inside" - I just guess the OP is not a "Contest Junkie" or they would KNOW . . .

There have been contests where they took scene from a movie and only revealed a small portion of it at first... then people would try to guess the name of the movie it was from.
If nobody got it in a certain amount of time, another portion of the photo would be revealed... and so on... until somebody got the answer correct. (or the whole pic was showing... lol)

But it doesn't have to be a movie... it could be a famous landmark, or even a person.
The more obscure, the better!!!
