Contest Winner!
Here's a screenshot of my 'testimonial' from the CASAA site that I made a few years ago. About the only thing I could add to that is how high I regard all the wonderful folk here and the assistance I've gotten over the years.

I don't do contests so this isn't an entry, but I am posting this in case it helps anyone making the switch, or even considering doing so, from smoking to vaping.

My story is well known - I started smoking when I was 13 and by the time I left seconday school at age 17 I was well hooked and a comitted smoker. By age 24 I was smoking 60 unfiltered cigarettes a day so in 1974 I switched to a pipe which I smoked until the 17th of October 2015 when I was 65.

I was an avid pipe smoker and collector, did boutique pipe tobacco reviews and was an Admin on a major pipe smoker's forum.

My youngest daughter, a nurse and and avid cigarette smoker found herself unable to smoke even in the hospital grounds after it was banned and so she and her husband took to vaping and found it worked for them.

She bought me an e pipe, batteries a charger and some liquid and I said I'd try it (with my fingers crossed, as I intended to tell her it had broken and chuck it away, as I had by then failed 3 smoking cessation courses).

My conscience however got the better of me, and I tried it on the Friday, got through the day without a craving to smoke and before I knew it the weekend had passed smoke free.

A month later on the 27th of November 2015 after buying an iStick 30w and a Nautilus Mini tank I joined this Forum. I have never smoked since nor wanted to - which I think is miraculous.

Back in 2015 this Forum was full of ex smokers and we all helped and encouraged eachother and shared information and support. I will always be grateful to ECF and vaping itself.

In conclusion if I can make the switch and be smoke free so can anyone!

Not an entry. Just sharing my journey.

I smoked 1 1/2-2 packs a day for 45+ years. Went to the smoke shop for a carton of smokes. I had been reading about these new fangled e-cigarettes so decided to give them a shot. Long story short. I never did smoke the cigarettes I bought at the same time.

That was almost 12 years ago. Thankfully I saw the writing on the wall early on and could see the powers that be would do their level best to make it hard to continue getting what I needed to keep vaping. I stocked up on everything I would need. Today I make my own e-liquid and rebuild my coils so vaping is basically free for me and my hubby.

I may have gotten a bit carried away on purchasing nicotine. I will soon be 75. I probably have enough stored in my freezer to last another 75 years at the rate I am going through it now.
