3) What type of electronic cigarette would you recommend to a newbie and what advice would you give them?

I recommend the eGo Twist and either a Vivi Nova or a Mini Vivi Nova. My advice is to keep contacts clean on battery, atty and charger; and have a minimum of 2 of EVERYTHING!!

1) What kind of electronic cigarette setup did you start out with?

I started out with a standard ego with a dct. It really confirmed that vaping was a viable alternative.

I use a Reo Grand with a Reomizer 2.0, it's my daily driver. I do use a Provari with a rda every now and then to test my diy creations.

I got one friend off cigarettes by giving him a manual 510 cigalike for his birthday. He thinks anything bigger is silly... to each their own. I gave another friend my first Ego kit a few months ago but he still smokes. It was a cheap knock-off and the batteries are about dead. If I was lucky enough to win this I would give it to him before he gives up on e-cigarettes completely. An Ego twist and Ego sized clearos would be an excellent starting point for a newbie, IMO.

I usually recommend a standard ego battery with either a dct and low res carto or a simple clearo like a vivi mini.

I tell new vapers to not get frustrated, there's always a solution to make the vaping experience suit their needs. I tell them "if you have any questions or problems, call me and we'll figure it out.

#2. I use a Provari with DCT Map Tank and XL dual coil Cartos. I did just get a Hana Mod and I've been using that with a Spheroid on top also.

#1 I started out with a Ego 650 maH starter kit with a few ce5 clearomizers. They ended up being knock offs and way over priced.

#2. Right now I am using several Smoktech Winders and an Ego Twist. I use a couple of Protank 1, a boatload of EVODS, a Pyvex Vivi Nova, a Smoktech RDA, and a brand new Protank Mini 2 (which I love love love).

#3 I usually recommend a twist or spinner with an EVOD or Vivi Nova. I tell people about dry mouth, how to tell if they are over nic'd, tell them about the legal issues surrounding Vaping and send them to CASAA for studies and to see what they might be able to do to help and lastly I tell them not to give up. I tell them if it seems like it might work but it isn't they might need higher voltage, warmer vapor, more throat hit, higher Nic or just need to find an all day Vape. I always give my contact info on here and/or my e-mail to anyone I provide a kit to or give info to and let them know they can always contact me, I'm happy to help.

#3. For a newbie I would recommend one of the VV spinner/winder stick batteries with a Protank mini and a half dozen EVODs.

In regards to advice, I would recommend that they do tons of research and when they think they have made a decision, do some more research. I would direct them to ECF and tell them to read through many different threads. Ask questions and learn from the mistakes of the veterans. Also, don't be too hard on yourself. The learning curve is steep and many of us continued to smoke for sometime after we started vaping. It took me 6 weeks to complete give up analogs.
