Wondering? My buddy vaped a long time before I started and has until recently been using the same setup (18650 mec with 510 carto) the entire time. Recently after seeing a few of my different setups, he is still using the same mec, but is now using a couple of different toppers (most recent is an AeroTank Kanger).

So my question is how long have you used your current setup? Do have dreams/desires of something different/better?

I'm hoping my next vapemail will keep me happy for awhile, but in the 2 years I've been vaping I've jumped leaps and bounds over my buddy that got me started with a basic ego kit.

For me vaping is more of a hobby. I have gone through ego batteries with disposable cartos up to today with mechanical mods, both "real" and "clones", regulated devices from 25 watts to 60, 100 later this year, RDA, RBA, various built tanks.

Like I say its a hobby, or sickness:). most of the stuff I have to tinker with. How is this tank different from that tank and how did they solve the engineering problems. Why are there so many different switch types on mechanicals?

Some days I hate my rebuildables because they are not working right. Other days I have everything just right and my rebuildables are working fine.

If I just wanted to quit smoking, still get nic, and be simple, the cigalikes would probably work fine, but like I said its a hobby.

Well, your question kind of implies that one has a single "current setup".

I use stock heads of various types when I just need (or want) to "fill-and-go".

I use rebuildables when I want to try out new stuff (coiling techniques and materials, etc) and have the time to fiddle a bit.
Also when I really want to get the best flavor.

Still looking for that perfect combo; a head that lasts forever without rebuilding, and gives great flavor. At the moment it's always a trade-off.

The one constant is that I like my MVPs the best. Better than my mechs and the vamo. (Although I do have a dual-18650 mech that kicks ....,
constructed from parts of 2 different mechs). Also have a VV USB passthru that is surprisingly good.

Kind of surprised to hear you like the MVP over a mechanical. I myself have a v1 of the MVP and really like the form factor. I also strive to find the best flavor and didn't realize what I was missing until I started turning up the volts. Daily carry is a VV v3 with a Kanger clone tank topper, also using VW exclusively.

His bank account is leaps and bounds heavier than those of us that can't be satisfied with what works. If I had bought my current set up after my vision spinner and mini protank starter my account would look a whole lot better than it does. If he's satisfied great!! That's what it's all about!

Don't get me wrong. I used the same carto's for a few months and wanted something with a little more volume capacity, that took me to iClear 16 and beyond. Just kind of envious that he was satisfied for so long, now his wallet is draining faster than mine I believe.

I really liked the simplicity of the carto and small 650 mAh battery, small easy to carry. Honestly I'm going to blame,,,, well I only have myself to blame. Like I said really hope my next vapemail keeps me in check for awhile, doubt it.

I have found my "happy spot." ProVari with Russians and Kayfun.

I like a little fiddling, but don't want to spend all my time working on my equipment.

I'm in a similar boat. Kayfuns and DNA 30 devices. I'm not really sure I need to keep looking. (Don't get me wrong, I still will). Now I'm on the never ending quest for the perfect juice. I'm stuck on Deadly Sin from Good Life Vapor. In a few weeks or so it'll be something new.
