Question about dual coil ohms setup

Hello guys,

I just recently started playing with RDAs, currently using a vulcan with svd 2.0. I have a question about my setup. I have no problem using single coil with different ohms setting, but whenever I use a dual coil setup (no many how many wraps) I always end up under 0.2ohms and my svd wouldn't fire up due to short circuit.

I'm using 22g wire, tried 5 - 10 wraps, 3/32 drill.

Any help + suggestions would be appreciated.

Hmm. Thats strange. Could you possibly post a couple pictures of the build? Including a close up of the leads going into the post? You shouldnt be getting such low resistance.

Get vapors tool box app for your smart phone. It really helped me when I started building coils. 22g wire will give you that ohm with only 5 to 10 wraps. I use 26g 11 wraps on 3/32 bit to get a .6 ohm dual coil. Hope this helps.

Thank you for the responses. Vapor toolbox is a great tool

I'm still testing with more wraps on the 22g. As for now end up grabbing myself a 26g with 6 wraps dual on a 3/32 bit, works out perfectly with 0.4ohm.

Going to continue with different builds to learn more!

Use thinner wire.
