Specifically, How do I control its' strength?

Reduce PG percentage in juice.

Reduce warmth of vapor by reducing wattage.

Many ways to reduce/control th. Higher vg, sub some pg with dw, use nic salts instead of freebase, and using flavors known for being smooth; you can also tame a harsh flavor with a cream of some sort. Higher wattage also reduces th. I mix my base with 9mg salts, 8% dw, and vg; only pg comes from salts (250mg pg) and flavor content.
